Dear Diary,
So today I woke up in my new 'Leah Cave'. I've decided that I would be spending most of my time here. I'm really bored and there is nothing to do. Right now, it's about 3:23 am. I had to set my clock and everything to Australian time; too much work. Maybe I'll go for a run like I used to. It always calms me down. Well, I'll see ya! Ooh, and maybe I'll run into that cute little chubby-face boy again! Eh, who am I kidding? It's almost four in the morning! Bye!
Love, Leah. Xoxo
PS: I decided not to put my last name anymore; it looks weird to me. :)
Leah's POV
I placed my diary on the table; not caring if anyone looks at it. I quietly walked up to my room and got dressed. I pull on some short shorts, sports bra, and teal Nike running shoes. I grab my phone and head out. I quietly shut the front door and walk down the driveway. I pull out my phone and plug in my earphones. I start playing my favorite running music; Not Afraid by Eminem.
I blasted the music and jogged down the street. I got this random and strange energy and ran like no tomorrow. I'm not the skinniest; not the fattest, but yet again I'm not the skinniest. I'm about 10 pounds over-weight, so I need more runs. I guess I've been running for a while now; the sun is starting to come up. When I see my surroundings; I notice I'm in another neighborhood. This is probably the third time I've been here.
I start running again; this time back home. As I'm running, I see that cute chubby-faced kid. Well, more like guy. He's probably 17. I slow down and sneak up behind him. I inch closer to the bench he's sitting on. When I'm right behind him, I pull out my earphones and yell 'BOO!' really loud. He falls of the bench with a 'thud'.
"Oops! Sorry, I didn't think you'd fall!" I apologized. "It's OK. I'm Calum, by the way." He smiles. I grin widely and sit down on the grass next to him. "I'm Leah." I smile.
"Oh, yeah! You're the one from the park!" He smiled. "Yup. I just moved here with my aunt." I tell him while popping the 'p'. "Anyway, it was nice meeting you Calum; but I have to head home. I've been running for about three hours now." I say getting up and dusting my shorts off. "You've been running for..." Calum starts counting on his fingers. "Since 3:00 am, Calum." I chuckle patting his head. I help him up and we exchange numbers before I start off home.
I start running to 'Should I stay or should I go' by Clash. In no time, I'm back home and walking up to my room. I walk into the bathroom and peel of my sweaty clothes. I hop into the shower and scrub myself clean. As I'm washing my hair, I start singing Neon Tree's 'Animal'. Once I'm all clean, I hop out of the shower. I walk out of the bathroom and to my closet. I pick out a bra, undies, and a peach-colored sweater with a black peace sign, regular jean-shorts, a peach beanie, and a pair of grey converse with white stars. I threw on my clothes, grabbed my phone and told Ally I was going to Star Bucks.
When I reached the shop, not a lot of people where here.
All of me; love's all of you.
Give your all to me; I'll give my all to you.
I looked at the ID and it was Calum. "Hey!" Calum cheered. "Well, hello, to you, too." I chuckle. "Hey, you wanna sit with us?" He asks. "Love to, but where are you?" I ask. I can hear four people laugh. I spin around and face palm. "I am such an idiot." I mutter. I tell them I'll sit with them and get back in line. I order my favorite Caramel Iced Coffee. I walk over and take a seat next to Calum.
"What's up?" I ask smiling. "The sky." The one with the dimples smiles. I gasp and poke his cheeks, making him laugh the most awesome laugh I've ever heard. "Oh my god, your laugh is amazing!" I smile poking his dimples. "Uh oh." I heard the one with the colorful hair whisper. "Whoa, nice hair." I tell him. "Yeah, you too." He chuckles.
I take a sip of my Ice Coffee and check my phone. I almost choke on my coffee when I look at my YouTube. I cough a bit before I calm down. "What's up with you? You act like you got like a million followers on YouTube." Ashton smiles; they all introduced me. They said there's another, Luke, but he's not here yet. "Um, I did! I got a million followers!" I smiled.
"Wait, what do you do on YouTube?" Michael asks; he's the one with the cool hair. "I do covers of songs." I say in a 'duh' tone. They all smile and look at me creepy. "OK am I missing something?" I ask confused. "Five, Four, Three, Two, One." As I on cue, Luke, I'm guessing; jogs up to the table. "Guys...my...favorite....You Tuber...got...one...million...followers." He breathes heavily while trying to calm down from running.
"Uh, Luke, Mate." Calum chuckles. "What?" He looks up and drops his phone. He slowly starts backing away, and then bolts out the door. "Should I? Or shouldn't I?" I ask to myself. "You should." They all chorus. I pick up Luke's phone and type my number in. I place it back on the floor. Luke runs in, grabs his phone, and then runs out again.
"I have no idea what that was." I point at the door. I get a text from an unknown number an see it's from Luke.
To: Leah
Sorry I kind of ran out.
From: Luke
I thought for a second on what to say.
To: Luke
It's OK. I'm not the best at making friends.
From: Leah
I then got a text from Ally saying I need to run some errands. I say bye to the boys and head to the shops. I enter the whole foods shop and look around. My eyes land on familiar blonde hair. I run up to Luke and hide behind him. I whip out my phone and text him to turn around. He looks at his phone and turns around.
"Hi!" I smile. "Hey." He says awkwardly. "Why'd you run out earlier?" I ask confusedly. "Because I'm not that great at making new...friends." He says scratching the back of his neck. "Yeah. I didn't exactly have 'friends' back home." I say sadly, quoting 'friends' with my fingers. "Well you can be my friend." He states proudly. I smile at his funniness. This guy will be the death of me.
