I slipped into my comfortable white pajamas that were two sizes larger than my own and hung a towel around my neck to catch the tiny water droplets trickling down from my damp hair.
One of my slippers lay beside my bedside drawer and the other was nowhere to be found. I wore the lone slipper on my left foot and kneeled down to level myself with the bed.
Gotta find the other slipper.
I slid my arm under the bed and blindly felt around for my slipper.
Gotta go to Jungkook's room.
My body twitched at this sudden thought causing my arm to hit the wooden underside of my bed.
"Oww..."
It burned at the spot where my arm got hit. That's gonna bruise for sure. I groaned and shook my head to rid myself of the thought and continued to pat around for my slipper until I finally felt it on the tips of my fingers. Slowly, I dragged it out and stood up to wear it on my right foot.
Jungkook's room.
I sighed, frustrated over the somersaults my stomach did whenever I remembered Jungkook texting me to come over to his room which I agreed to. On the corner of my eye, I saw my phone light up with a new message notification.
Maknae Jungkookie:
- hey
- you coming or whatI brought my hand up to to my somersaulting stomach and squeezed my shirt to calm myself down. A couple of deep shaky breaths later, I grabbed my phone and typed my reply.
Me:
- I'm coming----xxxxxxXXX/////XXXxxxxxx------
Third Person POV
Jungkook perked up from his gaming chair at the pattering sound of slippers approaching his door. He stode towards the door and opened it before Taehyung could knock.
He smiled at the sight of Taehyung in his cute white pajamas and tousled hair, all damp and frizzy from being vigorously dried with a towel.
"Hyung. Were you planning to sleep with wet hair?"
Taehyung brushed pass Jungkook and gingerly sat on the bed with his shoulders tense and his hands placed formally on his knees. He laughed awkwardly, "Yes. I-I mean, no I was not."
Jungkook blinked while closing the door. He could sense the discomfort Taehyung was feeling through his voice and the way he was sitting. He thought it probably wouldn't be a good idea to sit right next to him, seeing how his presence was making him feel uncomfortable.
He trudged towards his computer desk and plopped down on his gaming chair, then spun it around until he was facing Taehyung.
Taehyung continued to stare at his slippered feet. "S-so what did you want to talk about?"
"About us." Jungkook stated flatly, any hint of nervousness absent from his voice while Taehyung was obviously on edge.
Taehyung gulped, "What about us?"
"Bros don't make out with each other."
Taehyung felt his cheeks and ears heat up over the embarrassing words coming out of Jungkook's mouth. He coughed, "You asked me to kiss you."
"I didn't ask you the first time you did though." Jungkook argued with a confident tone in his voice.
Taehyung bent over and propped his face on the palms of his hands to hide his tinted cheeks. He moaned, "I knoww... can we please forget about that?"
Still seated on the gaming chair, Jungkook used his legs to drag himself forward against the carpeted floor until he was right in front the older boy. He reached out his arms to hold Taehyungs wrists and gently pulled his hands away from his face. He chuckled at Taehyung's tomato red cheeks and hummed, "Don't want to."
He lifted himself slightly from the gaming chair and inched forward to place a soft kiss on Taehyung's lips. He pulled away and laughed at the flustered boy's comically wide eyes.
Taehyung whined frustratedly, "Y-you said bros don't make out with each other!"
Jungkook wiped a tear off the corner of his eye that formed because of laughing too hard. "That was just a kiss. You used to kiss me on the cheek all the time."
"This is different!" Taehyung wanted to cy over how flustered Jungkook was making him.
Jungkook placed his hands on the sides of Taehyung's face and moved closer until their lips were practically brushing against each other. He grinned. "Wanna make out again?"
Taehyung panicked and jerked his head backwards, pulling his face away from Jungkook's hands. "N-no! I thought you wanted to talk."
The grinning boy plopped back down on his gaming chair and crossed his arms. He cocked his head to the side, "Right. I actually just wanted to ask why you were watching videos about us."
Taehyung scrambled backwards and crossed his legs on the bed to try and keep a safer distance from the younger boy, worried that he'd do something to him again. He explained in a soft murmur, "Yoongi hyung was telling the truth. Except the part where he sent me the link. I was just curious and watched a couple of recommended videos about us, that's it. I was just curious..." his last few words trailed off to a mere whisper.
Jungkook raised an eyebrow. "Really? Just curious?"
Taehyung nodded.
Jungkook wasn't convinced. He pouted, "Not because you like me?"
Taehyung felt the familiar churning and fluttering in his stomach as he felt his face begin to redden again. "Jungkook... I'm not gay. You know that."
The dark-eyed boy got up from his chair and slid onto the bed next to Taehyung. He lay on his side and rested his head on his palm. "I know. I'm not gay either."
He continued, "But it feels good to kiss you."
Taehyung bit his lip and turned to look at Jungkook. He really wasn't sure how to feel about this situation. Should he feel happy? Would it be right to feel happy?
Do I like Jungkook?
He stared at Jungkook in a daze while countless questions he didn't know the answers to clouded his mind.
He breathed mindlessly, "Jungkook. Do you like me?"
There was no reply for a while and the two continued to stare at each other.
Jungkook sat up and positioned himself to sit cross-legged beside Taehyung. Without looking up from his intertwined fingers, he murmured,
"I don't know."
