I swear he took forever to answer the damn door but it never occurred to me that it was unlocked.

In an instant I grabbed a few pillows from my couch and formed a small fort around my body. I sat naked with only a shirt and pillows on the soft couch.  To my greater such surprise and worry he walked in. So calm, so quiet.

I didn't even notice the sorry on his face. All I could tell was that he looked cold. All those comfy pillows surrounding him made him look like a little king. My king.
I sat across from him hoping I could talk and explain what we had.  But as I sat there staring at his face I knew he was hiding something.

I felt really awkward knowing that he was fully clothed sitting a few feet away from me.and I was only wearing a shirt and blocking the rest with this pillow fort.
His stare left my face and fell on the floor.
He reached and picked up my underwear.
Damn was all I was thinking.
