I felt an electricity go through my body, causing me to quickly pull away......

I stood up and looked out my window to smoke filling the sky about 5 miles away. I ran downstairs to my mom watching TV. I slowly walked closer as the reporter announced, "This unexpecting villain strucked again at the Olympia Hotel with a cause of a terrible fire that killed over 200 people. The cameras blacked out with only a red streak going through it, so no one caught the person. The electrical wires were cut, causing there to be no light. Sorry, for this interruption. This is WSAZ News with the weather....."

I quickly realized something and said, "What about dad?! He works there. What if he was hurt? Or worse, killed? What are we going to do?" My mom sighed and said, "Lilli, it'll be alright." I walked outside as a sudden memory went through my head

Maria crossed her arms and said, "What'd you say?" I smirk and said, "You heard me. Oh and tell Chase that he's all yours. Because he can put up with your immature, pity ass self." She flipped her red brown hair and said, "I'm sure he'll enjoy it."

As she walked away, I said, "Yeah, cause everyone loves a town slut." She rolled her eyes and said, "Pathetic." I held my books tighter and said, "I didn't know we we're talking about your life." I walked upstairs and walked into my next class. I rolled my eyes at the fact that we had this class together.

I saw Maria's brother, Tyson, walk in. I quickly caught his attention as I had the perfect plan.....

I blinked a couple times as I heard my mom call for me in fear. I quickly ran back inside as a person with a black cloak on holding her against the wall. I quickly grabbed them and pushed them off. I grabbed a bat that was leaning on the wall beside me and swung at them.

I didn't really hit where I was going to, but I hit their knee, making them fall to the ground. I aimed to hit them again until my mom stopped me. As the person took off their hood, my mom said, "Woah! It's okay, Lilli." As I realized that it was my dad, he said, "What was that for?"

I threw the bat down in regret and said, "I thought mom was getting attacked." I helped him up as he said, "I was tickling here, and she called for you. Did you not hear her loud laughing?" I rolled my eyes and said, "No. I couldn't when I was outside."

After it hit me, I asked my mom, "Mom, how old is my TV?" My mom looked at me and said, "Uh, it's 2 years old, why?" I crossed my arms and said, "It glitched. It wasn't like a regular glitch. It was distracting, and it was just different."

My mom sighed and said, "Your sister had the same exact reaction. Some how, and I don't know why, it gave her this ability to control any sense of electricity. You didn't know her, because she had died from the incident. She also died before you had been born. I didn't tell you, because I knew you would be a little into worried or scared." I froze in shock for a second then said, "Could that ability go to me?"

My mom nodded and said, "It's a possible chance." For some reason, at that very moment, I knew my life would've gotten a lot more interesting...
