Louis
When it first happened, I don't think anyone knew what to think. It was silent; no one dared talk nor moved a muscle. I could practically see the gears turning in everyone's eyes before it really started to seep in.
Chairs squeaked as people jumped up from their seat, loud 'oh my god's were heard all around the room, multiple students looked at our teacher with terrified, hopeful eyes. Needing him to tell us what to do - that everything was going to be okay, but as I stared at him, I realized that he didn't know either of those answers.
"Get down!" I finally whisper yelled, multiple people repeating what I said to their friends. They all started making their way to the corner of the room, the one blind spot in the room for lock downs. On instinct I reached my hand over to fold it around her's and direct her towards the corner with me, but as my hand griped around thin air, my heart dropped at the realization. Scar wasn't in the room...
"Scarlett's not here," I whispered, the please of my classmates to get out of view from the window was white noise, all I could think about was Scar. I got up from my chair without a second thought, making my way towards the door, ready to run out and look for her. She was on this floor, on the other side with the girl's bathrooms. It wouldn't take me long and I prayed she was still there, oh god please be there. Just before I clasped my hand around the handle, arms wrapped around my upper half and dragged me back away from the door. "No! Scar's out there I need to go find her!"
"Louis you need to calm down!" Mr. Norm exclaimed, keeping his voice low but stern. So now he decides to retaliate. I tried to wiggle out of his grip, using all my strength to get out, but I only got one arm out of his hold. "Don't be stupid, you going out there is going to put her in more danger. Just get down, be quiet, and we'll be okay. She'll be okay."
You can't promise that.
"Jude, lock the door please," I heard him mumble before directing me towards the corner, where I helplessly slid down the wall and laid my head between my legs. I could feel the stares of all my classmates, but I didn't give a s.hit. At that moment, I felt useless. She was out there all alone, and what broke my heart the most was knowing how scared she must be at that moment.
