Louis

The clocked ticked by, mocking me. Mocking me of my inability to control the minutes going by that felt like hours.

Classmates huddled all over, comforting each other, some praying for their safety, and others sitting in silence as they stared off to nothing in particular. I, myself was part of the latter, driving myself insane as I listened to that damn clock tic and toc.

The feeling of my phone vibrating finally got my mind off the clock for more than a second. Absentmindedly, I reached into my back pocket, pulling the device out. I read the name on the screen of the text message I received and furrowed my brows when I saw it was an unknown number.

Once opening the text, my eyes widened, audibly gasping once I read the text.

Unknown: Louis?! It's Scar, please tell me you're okay.

Relief washed through me once reading that beautiful name, but I found myself questioning how she was able to get a hold of me, her phone left in the basket assigned for all phones to be placed in after asking to use the restroom. But either way, she was okay.

Me: Oh thank god. Yes, yes I am fine. Are you?! How are you texting me??

Unknown: I'm fine. I can't tell you how relieved I am to talk to you. I love you so much (Long story but I am using Eleanor's phone)

Eleanor Calder?

Me: Where are you? I'm coming to get you.

Unknown: NO, I am fine. I'm safe, and hidden. I don't need you going through the halls getting to me, putting yourself in danger. Just stay in the classroom, I'll stay here, where we are BOTH safe. I love you.

Me: I love you too, meet me at our spot when you get out of the school.

I hit send before hastily typing out another message begging her to stay safe, but before I could even get two sentences in, a rattling of the door nob froze me. Everyone snapped their heads in the direction of the only door into the classroom, our hearing confirmed once we saw the sight of the door shaking. My phone buzzed in my hand as I slipped it into my jeans, I couldn't look at it, afraid if I revert my eyes from the door, it will somehow unlock, granting access to the stranger.

Friends huddled together, others scooting back closer to the wall, hoping it would swallow them up for safety. But it wasn't working, we weren't safe anymore.

I could feel myself shaking, something I've never done before. I was always good with talking to people, and never nervous enough before a test. Sure, scary movies made my skin crawl, but no horror film could prepare me for this day.

There was ruckus in the opposite side of the door, an optimistic side of me thought it was something good, help had finally arrived. But the rational side of me knew it was something far from good. Any moment on of my thoughts would be confirmed, because judging by the sounds, that door was opening soon.

No one moved, not doing anything, because there wasn't anything we could do. Not that our scared minds would ease long enough to think of something.

And then, it opened. The first sight I saw being black combat boots.

So I suck at updating but I have been so busy ahhh I have school, work, and musical so I've been exhausted.
