With Alucard pursuing Cailean, who had taken his child away, the five children began their battle with their enemies. It started off with many explosions and blows that pulverised or eradicated the walls of the basement. Some of them knew that if they continued this way, the entire building would collapse, and this could result in their leaders injured, as well as them. Without even discussing among themselves, the children exchanged glances with each other and nodded, leaving the basement and went on their separate ways, not knowing who they would encounter.
By the time Oscar left the basement first, the snowstorm had ceased and the sun had risen. He ran out of the building until he got a good distance and snapped his body around, facing the entrance with his guard up. As his gaze intensely focused on the damaged wooden door, his surrounding was silent. Too silent for a beautiful morning, in fact. There was no dawn chorus from the birds, not even an insect sang a note. Despite having the sun giving some warmth to this cold winter morning, the animals seemed to have understood what was the situation, and fled before they could get hurt. Whether it was due to the presence of the No Life King and Queen or the smell of danger lingering in the air, one wouldn't know. But Oscar preferred it this way. He loved animals as much as his mother, so he wouldn't have to worry about them getting hurt.
Finally, he felt a presence charging towards him, making him furrow his brows as he tried to pinpoint where it was coming from. His hand quickly reached for his daggers hidden in his black trench coat made by the enchantress for his birthday, and jerked his body towards the direction of the approaching presence when it grew stronger. He expected one of the enemies to take on him, but he didn't expect to get the one twirling across him.
"Here, here, here!" called the muscular man in a feminine voice while clapping his hands. "Eyes over here!" He stopped twirling and struck a pose, flipping his long and wavy purple ponytail before introducing himself, "My name is Dierche, one of Cailean's most trusted servant who indulges him with pleasure and pain." He then ended the sentence with a wink.
Oscar stared at him with his mouth agape, blinking owlishly as confusion and shock were written across his face. 'What's up with this ugly thing?' he questioned in his mind. Suddenly, as if Dierche could hear his thoughts, he glared at the boy and stood close to slap him across the face, shocking him even more as he held his swollen cheek and yelled, "W-W-What the hell?! What gives, you weirdo?!"
"That's totally my line!" yelled back Dierche with a tightly clenched fist, showing that he didn't the boy's impression on him as a vein throbbed on his temple. "How dare you give me that stank eye the first time you meet someone! Listen up, you rude brat! People who are ugly are those who judge others by their appearances!" Dierche finally calmed down after lashing out his anger by reprimanding the boy. He placed his hands on his waist and sighed, chuckling as he shook his head. "Of course. I forgive you because you're a little boy who has yet to understand the world. Your innocent and winsome heart is still paving its path to understand what true beauty is. "
By the time he opened his icy blue eyes, he saw the boy walking away with his back facing him and talking to his teammates through a headpiece. "Hey, does anyone want to exchange with me?" he asked monotonously. "I have an ugly weirdo here."
That was the last straw for Dierche, who took out his whip and was about to strike Oscar, who then whipped out his dagger to block the attack by entangling it with the blades. "Didn't your mother teach you manners, you rotten skank?!" he scolded with much anger.
"Of course she did!" snapped Oscar. "At least she's way more beautiful compared to you! Now get away from me before you corrode my personal space, you skeevy beast!" With a harsh tug, his daggers sliced the whip, giving him a chance to leap away from the man as he held his daggers that disintegrated the leather cord.
