Suddenly, a wave of religious pages began to surround them, forcing the two lovers to separate from each other. Everyone looked up to see Alexander charging at Alucard with his blessed bayonets directly from above. The latter unsheathed his sword and clashed it with the priest before using it to push him away, causing the priest to skid a few feet back.

"Splendid, my old nemesis." acknowledged the Nosferatu with a smile.

"We are representatives of God." declared Alexander. "Agents of divine punishment on Earth. Our mission is to eliminate every last bit of flesh of those fools who oppose God!" He placed the blessed bayonets in front of him in the form of a cross before charging at Alucard again. "Amen!" He affixed the scriptures to erect a divine barrier around himself before clashing with Alucard again. The impact was so strong, that it set all of the pages on fire, besides successfully landing a scar on Alucard's cheek.

"I commend you for coming here, regardless of who you faced." he praised. "My enemy, try killing me! Just try striking a bayonet into this heart! Like five hundred years ago! Like one hundred years ago! Try ending this brief respite between my dreams! My beloved, sworn enemy."

"There is no need to say it." growled Alexander before charging at Alucard, who grinned with delight. He attempted to struck the priest, who managed to dodge it by leaping up high in the air and clashed with his sword. Once he got an open, Alexander tried to stab Alucard, but the latter dodged it before clashing his sword on his bayonet. When he got a good distance from Alucard, Alexander whipped out few more blessed bayonets and flung them at the vampire's way. The Nosferatu quickly changed into his previous form and shot the bayonets into pieces with his handgun, with one bullet successfully landing a damage on the priest's hand.

"Mercury-core bullets, cased in blessed Macedonian steel." listed Alucard with a wide grin. "The powder charge is Marvell's N.N.A.9. Length, thirty-nine centimetres. Weight, sixteen kilograms. A thirteen millimetre explosive ejection chamber. The Jackal. It's perfect, Walter!"

With a battle cry, Alexander charged at Alucard with each hand wielding a blessed bayonet and swung them at him, to which Alucard fired the Casull at him, forcing him to block them with his bayonets. Alucard then aimed the Jackal at his arm and pulled the trigger, creating a fatal wound on his arm. With one good arm, Alexander charged at Alucard again and swung the bayonet, only to slash few of the Nosferatu's familiars. When the latter leapt back, Alexander realised that he had to go through the familiars in order to reach to the vampire. At that moment, Rip Van Winkle's bullet and Tubalcain Alhambra's card came in contact with him, injuring him even more.

"What will you do?" challenged Alucard. "What will you do? A monster stands before you, Catholic. You will defeat it, won't you? What chance do you have? One in a thousand? Ten thousand? A million? A billion? Or a hundred trillion?"

"Even if my odds were one in nayuta, that would be enough." scowled Alexander. Although he was outnumbered, his body covered in blood and had only one arm left, he continued to slash the familiars approaching him, and it amused the vampire to no end.

Meanwhile, the rest of the surviving Hellsing members stood at the side and watched the battle went on. Asmund, with his arms crossed over his chest, clicked his tongue with annoyance and said, "That idiot."

This, of course, caught his sister's attention, as she looked at him with confusion. "What is it?" she asked.

"He's testing his enemy." he replied before heaving a sigh. 'How stupid can he be?' he questioned himself, not wanting to say the next few words out loud to upset his sister. 'He doesn't realise that his wish to be killed by the hands of a human could hurt Frida.'
