My head boomed, holding my breath as if I was underwater. I've been holding it for too long. The city looked dark and forgotten. My eyes darted from dark corner to corner. Almost looking like a black and white photo. Gray cloud threatened to rain but no thunder. No people. Just silence.
I mumbled and squinted at the clock on my bed side table. With a huff, I slammed my hand against the stop button and yawned. I sat up and my eyes wandered the room, temporally forgetting where I was. I must have been too deep into my dream... (Wait, what was my dream?)
(-Wait. Oh, that's right. I'm an adult now and I have to work to barley even get myself some food.)
The forever depressing sky decided to bless everyone with rain today. (I could always not go.) I sigh and rub my sore back.
Soft fur and a wet nose rubbed up against my leg. (But they'll fire my ass if I don't go. Then I'll have to resort going to him for a job. And I need a stable good to feed my kid.)
I sighed and got out of bed and headed to the bathroom.
After a crappy shower I hurried out and changed into my work clothes. A green shirt with logo, any black pants or jeans, and any closed toed shoes. With my rain coat in hand, I set the automatic cat feeder and empty out the litter box.
I checked the time, only 20 minutes left, I grabbed my phone, keys, and my pre packed bag. With the essentials and extra shoes and a clean shirt, not wanting to stink of meat and food.
I walked down a couple of stairs and got down to the common area of the apartment and greeted Tiffany, she lives a few flights below me.
She is slim and tall, just a bit taller than me. Her pale skin, red at how cold it's been getting. She wraps herself in her maroon knitted sweater dress. With black leggings and and her black boots. She just looks so cute!
She reminds me all lot of my grandma, I don't how to describe it. Well, she does have old person hobbies, like gardening, knitting big blankets, cooking desserts, and making jams. Fannie just has a really warm aura, or whatever it's called. Like of a home cooked meal and fireplace. And she's only 2 years older than me!
Done greetings, I walk my 10 minute walk to work. I pull up my hood as it rained harder. One of my favorite things to do when I walked in a large crowed, is to listen to others conversations or phone calls. And feel the amazing breeze of summer. But I can't do that now, can I.
"-So, how about this Saturday?"
I hear over the sound of the rain pelting me on the head. (Perfect, I don't even have to try to listen.)
"-Wait. Are you actually breaking up with me?!" She yelled loudly.
I flinched as she was closer than I thought. She was literally right behind me. I'm pretty sure she almost stepped on the back of my shoe.
People didn't reacted, I felt kind-of bad, but I pushed forward. I found 2 girls who were talking rather loudly.
"So, he lead her inside then shoved her onto the wall." The smaller one says as the other gasped.
"-Yeah! Then he started licking and sucking on her neck!" She exclaimed.
I shiver at the topic, gagging then thankfully seeing the bright neon logo. I rushed pasted them and went to the back.
I worked in a little coffee shop that didn't get much attention till some paparazzi caught Ryan Gosling eating there. Ever since then it's been hectic, I've had to work over time almost every day except Sundays. But you think this certainly coffee shop is always busy for some reason. But keep seeing new people come in and order the exact thing Ryan Gosling got.
