I woke up to the sound of my mom yelling on the phone. I walked down to try to figure out who she was talking too.

“No! He can’t be here! He shouldn’t be allowed to have a bail! He has only been behind those bars for 7 months!” I hear as I walk down the stairs.

“Don’t even try to make this better. She won’t be safe. She is finally starting to get a life again. How could you do that?” She spoke softer.

I didn’t want to hear anymore. I don’t know who she is talking too, but I know it has something to do with history teachers.

Danny came and took me up stairs. He pulled me into his room.

“You shouldn’t be listening to that.” He spoke

“Who is she talking too?”

“The police station.”

I stay silent. Could it be true? Could my worst nightmare be out on the street again? I can run into him anywhere.
