"Jake, where are you taking me?" I asked seeing total darkness caused by the blindfold that covered my eyes. When we left my house for our day out together, he instantly tied a scarf he had in the back of his car over my eyes and said he was going to surprise me where our first destination was. When he put it on my face and I instantly smelled perfume and i felt myself slump in my seat. Its probably his girlfriends from back home and he keeps it to remember the smell of her or something.

"Will you just sit back and enjoy the ride? You've asked me where I'm taking you about 10 times and I'm still not telling you." he laughed and i felt the car come to a stop. I heard a slam of the car door and i presumed it was Jake's door. i unbuckled my seat belt and then felt myself falling sideways out side the car. I was leaning up against my side of the door and Jake opened it to help me get out and of course, me being the clumsy person i am, i fell out of the car. I screamed and braced myself for the impact of the ground but it never came. Jake had caught me in his arms bridal style and once he stood up straight with me still in his arms and i felt his chest vibrate as he laughed at me.

"You gotta stop falling into my arms like this, darlin'" he said as he set me down on the ground. I felt myself frown when he left my side, i enjoyed being in his strong arms, it made me feel safe.

"Alright, were almost there, we just have to walk a little." he places his hand on the small of my back and leads me up this hill, and that's all i know because I'm still blindfolded.

"You're not bringing me into the middle of no where, killing me then leaving my body there to be devoured by wild animals, are you?" i questioned. Jake chuckled and said,

"No, i wasn't planning on it but if you don't shut up then i just might."

I laughed and let him lead me through twists, turns and dips in the path we were walking on. I feel heat radiating from his touch on my back and i smile thinking about how he wanted to spend the whole day with me. Out of everyone he met this week at school, he picked me. Then my mind wonders to where it is he may be taking me. Maybe were going to go swimming and then he'll take me to a fancy restaurant. Or maybe he's taking me to a park to go bike riding and then watch a movie on the side of a building. Or maybe...

"Lauren!" Jake shouted and it made me jump, bringing me back to reality. I guess he had been calling my name and i didn't hear him because i was deep in thought.

"You can stop walking now, were here." he told me, so i figured I could take the scarf off. "Here, let me" Jake said removing his hand from my back and started uniting the scarf from my head. His fingers brushed my neck and it caused shivers to run down my back. Once he removed the scarf i blinked a few times to adjust my eyes to the sun and my breath hitched when i saw the magnificent view.

"Where are we?" I asked in awe.

"I cant tell you that." Jake replied with a chuckle, "'cause then I'd have to kill you."

We were on a giant hill. There were a few trees and beautiful flowers everywhere. Up in the trees there were clear glass jars that were strung together and as i got closer i realize there were candles inside of them and he must light them at night. In between all of the trees there was a big flat space with a red and white checkered blanket with a basket of food and a bottle of champagne accompanied by two skinny wine glasses. i walk a little farther and i realize we weren't on a hill, we were on a cliff and down below was the ocean. To the left of me there was what looked like a path that lead to a mini beach where the waves crash to the shore. It was amazing and i smiled just looking at the beautiful scene. I turn around to look at Jake and he's smiling at me like he's in pure bliss.
