{IOI - Downpour}

The wedding will happen eventually and Jaehyun still confused about what to do. At first, he was so sure to choose Hwasa but to think what Jiyeon had been through, he wants to make it up.

Jaehyun still doesn't know what Jiyeon's plan, she seems so busy lately. They barely talked like before but they didn't fight anymore. Without her knew, Jaehyun told the guards to watch her and if something happens, they need to tell Jaehyun.

Right now Jiyeon and Nagyung were in a beauty salon. Jiyeon wanted to change her hair, she wanted to be something new and it will start from her look.

"I want to back to my natural look," Jiyeon said.

Today is finally the performance day and the students were getting ready. Jiyeon saw when Jaehyun walked past by Hwasa, they just smiled at each other. No talk and no kiss!

"Are you ready?" Jennie squealed. She didn't perform with them but she came to show her biggest support.

"I'll perform last so no pressure." Jiyeon shrugged. "Does Taeyong come with you?"

"Yeah, he said he wanted to watch his brother and his friends but he sat beside me." She rolled her eyes.

"But you like him anyway." Jiyeon teased.

Since Jiyeon will perform last, she decided to watch the performance. Some of them were also here. She already did her hair and make-up as she wore jeans shorts, a black hoodie, and a slipper.

After all the performance then it's Princess Jiyeon's turn.

When they finished performing, they sat on the audience's sit to watch while Jiyeon already went backstage. She changed her clothes to a dress and silver heels.

She grabbed a mic as she prepared for herself. She will sing Downpour by IOI. She felt the song is suited for her, it told about proper goodbye and promise to meet each other again. After the rain stopped pouring, they will see each other again. Jiyeon was hoping that she wanted to say goodbye to him and hopefully, she will meet him again in the future when she already becomes a new person.

They end the show with clapping and cheering. Jiyeon gave one last bow before she left the stage.

"Jiyeon!!" She turned around when someone shouted her name.

"My God Jaehyun!! This is ladies' dressing room!"

"Your mom is in the hospital." He informed.

And that's the moment when everything just falls apart. The last time someone informed her that her family in the hospital, he ends up dead.

"Come on!" Jaehyun pulled her to the limo, ignoring Hwasa who just watched them.

Still, in that dress and heels, she was running in the hallway of the hospital. She asked the nurse what room her mother in. There she is, laying on the hospital bed, dying.

"M-mom??"

"J-Jiyeon-ah?"

"Mom what happen to you?!!" She walked there and grabbed her hand tightly.

"I'm just sick honey. Don't worry, I'll be fine!" She smiled even Jiyeon knew it was a fake smile.

"Why don't you tell me you were sick after all this time? I could be beside you! I could take care of you!" Tears rolling from her eyes but she quickly wiped them away.

"I don't want to burden you. Look Jiyeon-"

Jiyeon cut her off. "Don't! Don't even continue it!"

She smiled softly at her daughter, she knew Jiyeon will hate it and everything that she needs to say already she wrote in the letter.

"Just get rest!" She kissed her cheek.

She came out to see Jaehyun outside. "How is she?"

She shrugged sadly as Jaehyun could see her red eyes. She went to see the doctor and Jaehyun accompany her.

"Your mother has leukemia, stage 4. I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do about it anymore. She's been a strong woman."

"How long?" She asked painfully.

"It could be tomorrow or the day after it. No one can guess it Princess Jiyeon."

"Thank you."

She walked out of the room after that. She lost her father and now her mother too, she has no one else, and what's the point to live now.

She didn't realize that Jaehyun put his jacket around her shoulder. "I know you're not fine and I know you hate it if you look weak but it's okay. You can let it out."

He wrapped his hand around her shoulder, she leaned her head on his chest. She tried not to cry, not to let out everything inside her. She needs to be strong for her mother and her country.

"I'll call Ms. Lee to bring your stuff here."

Jiyeon waited beside her mother as she sleeping while Jaehyun also there. Ms. Lee just arrived with their stuff, Jaehyun changed his outfit first.

"Jiyeon.." he tapped her shoulder.

"Go change first." He gave her a bag. She nodded as she stood up, grabbed that bag, and went to the bathroom.

Jaehyun sat on the chair that Jiyeon sat before. He didn't know the Queen just open her eyes. "J-Jaehyun ?"

"Yes? Do you need anything aunty?"

She nodded as she softly smiled. "I want you to take care of my daughter. She needs someone, she needs you. Remember what I said? She could kill herself just to make the pain go away."

"I promise you aunty I will take care of her. I will make sure she will live a happy life." Jaehyun grabbed her hand and kiss it.

"Even you will marry her?" She asked.

"Yes, even I marry her. She's my best friend and I remember the promise I made when we were kids that I will make her happy."

"I'm glad now that my daughter in the good hand. Now I can go happily."

Jiyeon just finished changing her outfits, she sat beside Jaehyun. "I really like your hair like that." She said.

"But you said blonde made me hot." Jiyeon chuckled.

"Yeah but now you are a natural beauty."

The rest of the night The Queen told them the story of her and her husband, how did they meet, how were their life before.
