Making Friends

I went back to the castle and was trying to find Susan to tell her how my "date" with Cedric went. She wasn't in the Great Hall neither in the dorms or the kitchen. So I went to the common room and only saw Fletcher.

"Hey, have you seen Susan?" I asked.
"She shut me down and went to the black lake with Hannah," he said in a low voice. Sounded like he was really upset about it.
"Well, I'll go find them. Thank you Fletcher" I was about to walk out of the room but I thought I can leave him like that. So I went back.
"Hum, Flint you sound sad what's up?"
"I ask Susan if she wanted to date me and she said 'I'm sorry Fletcher I never liked you that way' " he said it like any other boy trying to do a girl's voice.

"Oh Flinn I'm sorry but Susan and Hannah have been... close since last year. But you'll find someone" I was secretly proud of not telling the complete truth about my two friends.

"Do you want to date me"
"What?! You know I'm into someone already!!!"
"I guess it's pretty hard to live up to A Cedric Diggory standard" he looked down at the floor.

"Well, this is not the time to think about broken hearts. There's a killer on the loose. You should be protecting yourself"

"You're not the one to talk. If Cedric asked you to drown in the black lake you wouldn't think twice." He sounded really mad

"Yes, the black lake. See you later." And I ran out of the common room then out of the castle into the black lake.

I could only see Hannah from the back she looked like she was about to arch herself to get something. So I screamed
"HANNAH HAVE YOU SEEN-"

Hannah looked back and I could see Susan. They both look very red on the face and worried.

I understood I came at a bad time so I went back to the castle. When I looked back they were running after me, so I stopped.

"Why are you running after me? I thought I just ruined a moment?" I said out of breath.

They were laughing still red in the face " HOW WAS YOUR LUNCH?" Susan screamed while running.

I stopped
"Was good," I said shortly

"You know we want the details? " Hannah smile mischievously.

So I told them the story until the very end with maximum detail. The second I finish the screamed.

"Good Merlin, way too much screaming today," I said annoyed.

"Sorry. But..... Aaah. He literally asked you to be his pillow." Susan said almost losing her breath.

"He kissed your neck?!?!?" Hannah almost screamed again.

"I don't think so. At least did look intentional." I didn't give it much thought.

Susan was mumbling to herself and the spoke.
"So he said 'i like you'. Did he meant it like 'i love you'?"

"I don't know... Let's just go to the library yes?" I said trying to shake it off.

"Ya sure," said Hannah

"But tell me, girls. Did I ruin a moment? What where are you doing?" I said with a grim.

"Just you know... planning?" Susan said getting red. And this time was not from running.

"Planning what?" I asked

"Hum....." Susan started

"The party. Because you will ask Cedric out after he catches the golden snitch" Hannah said very fast.

"Yes, a huge party. Every house is invited" Susan added.

I was sceptical about this party
"I bet there will only be two Slytherins there. A good part of the Gryffindor house-"

"Or not. Because they will lose the game" said Hannah.

"Well thought...." said Susan as if Hannah just said the most interesting things.

Library

We get to the library. And start looking around for potion related books. After Snape took those points from Hufflepuff house we had to do something about it. Why not get better with potions to get on his good side. ( If he has any )

"What are we looking for?" Hannah said look at the shelves while Susan had a copy of One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi.

"Books of potions with years 3rd and above information," I said looking for them.

We found the books and started the search. Susan was having the most fun out of all of us. Relating something you love to something you're trying to improve on makes the job easier. She was ready for different types of mushrooms and their effects in potion making.
I got a book about healing potions and their ingredients.
Hannah, she was just looking red in the face and staring at Susan. Susan was too focus on her book to notice. I know what's going on here but I'm not sure they want to talk about it. Hannah looks like she is close to exploding her from starting. If I call her head will pop.

After reading the book completely and taking notes that filled 20 pages with tiny handwriting Susan got up "Let's go now. We still have the care of magical creatures before dinner"
I look at my pages only 10 compared to Susan my handwriting was pretty big. I got up as well.
"I just have to ask permission to take this and a few more books."

We both looked at Hannah she had only 2 pages and was still staring at the book. "Hannah let's go. You can borrow that book" Susan laid her hand on Hannah's shoulder. "Go with y/n."

Hannah got up and we went to borrow the books. Then we went to care for magical creatures.

Hagrid was kind half-giant and some students took advantage of that. The creatures he brought to class weren't appealing to everyone. But he was a good teacher, you could see how much he loved that post.

"Good-evening' students. Today will do a quick lesson on blast ending skrewts." Hagrid paused at the gasping crowd. "Now calm down. I got permission from your headmaster to onw a male and a female for this lesson." Hagrid said bringing the skrewts in fragile cages.
"Can anyone tell me a bit about these creatures?" He looked at the crowd and the Ravenclaw boy from herbology raised his hand very shyly.
"They are an illegal crossing between a manticore and a fire crab. There's almost not distinguish between the heads... I mean, the head and the tail and they shoot random times." He said in a low voice and fast pass and hide in the crowd again.

"Precisely!" Hagrid waved at the crowd of students so that the Ravenclaw boy would be visible and the petted him in the head in a very weird way "You've bein' readin' loads haven't ya. GREAT!!"

CRACK

The cages broke open and everyone screamed. Cedric came in front of the crowd and spread his arms to protect us. That was going to do much to protect us against the fire coming out of those tails, but he looked determined.
Hagrid managed to load the creatures into the Forbidden Forest.
"There. There. I'll get 'em later. Not to worry. Of you go." Our half-giant friend seemed a bit tense and not confident of his words, but we went back to the castle.

The Ravenclaw boy went to meet Cedric and I tried to listen to the conversation but could only hear the word "good friends"
