Unexpected

I woke up in my bed and I felt that it was way to early because outside it was still dark.
I could tell that I fell asleep crying. My pillow was soaked. I got up and tumbled my way to the bathroom without a reason to go there.
As I open my bedroom I saw him. Cedric was sitting in a chair in front the dorm's door.
I got close to wake him.
"Hey... pssst....Ced." I said shaking him.
"Wha-- " he said half asleep
"Diggory? What are you doing here?" I asked trying to keep a distance.
He woke up.
"Y/n. I was waiting for you"
"In a chair? For how long?" I asked chocked.
"Susan said you went to sleep crying so I wanted to check on you." Cedric said in a sweet tired voice.
"You could've done that in a few hours after you sleep in your bed" I was worried sick about him.
"Come with me." He got up and grabbed my hand.
We were walking through the common room and I asked in a loud wisper: "where are we going?"
"You'll see... and close you eyes."
And I did as he said.
After a few steps and hearing what seemed like a door open Cedric came very close to my hear and whispered: "Don't scream"
He picked me up and I gasped and was about to scream. But I didn't. Ced laid me down on what felt like cloud.
"What is this?" I whispered
"I enchanted my mattress" He whispered while hugging me.
"In our lunch I said I wanted you to be my pilow. Remember?"
I blushed "I thought you were sleep-talking"
He pulled me in closer to him and wispered "I wasn't"
We stayed a few moments in silence and it's was so very comfortable. I could feel Cedric breathing into my ears.
After what seemed like 20 minutes I asked " Ced, does something bother you a lot?" I paused "Something you can't stop thinking..."
"I have but it's... not..." he sighed "Don't you, sometimes, feel like you are not good enough?"
I turned around to look him in the eye but it was so dark I couldn't see it. I grab is face with my hands "You are great. Everything about you is awesome." And went to kiss him on his forehead but I kissed his nose.
He laugh in a low tone, but you know he would be laughing super loud if he could.
I felt his hands holding my face. Then he kissed my mouth.... me in my mouth. What in Merlin's name....
While I was in panic over the situation Cedric spoke.
" I'm sorry this happen....I....you see I don't mind but if you mind I'm sorry. This are not the right words." He sounded very worried.
"I'm okay. It is.... okay" I mumbled.
He huged me and I felt his body heat more that before ours hearts were beating against each other.
"I'm sorry." He said in a very apologetic way.
"You did nothing wrong. You shouldn't apologize"
"This probably a bad time to say it but..." he paused " kissing your neck was... a happy accident" after he said that his face got so heated, you could breath it in the air.
"Are you trying to tell me something Cedric?" I asked in a confused.
"What do you mean?" He was also confused.
We stayed quite for a bit and then I got the courage to ask: "So what the purpose of this?" I sighed.
"To be with you" and he kissed me on the chick.
I tried not to react but I know he felt the blood on my face. I tried to change the subject. I guess it didn't work out that well.
"Today Eddie came to apologize. He thought you were my... boyfriend." And I wanted for a response.
We got ourselves in a spooning position.
"Were you upset because he said that?" Cedric asked with breaks in his voice.
"No. I just wasn't in a mood for people after that." That was almost a full lie. I couldn't tell him I thought I was good enough for him or anyone.
He hugged me closer. "I'm sorry to crash you solitude moment. I'm your friend and I don't want you to deal with your problems alone." And he rested his lips against the back of my neck.
"I'll tell you everything. Don't worry."
He put his mouth next to my ear and whispered "So if you're not mad about what Eddie said about me being your boyfriend maybe I could...."
"You could what?" I knew what he was about to say. But I didn't want to hear it.
"Do you want to come to my house for the holidays?"
Guess he didn't say it. Thank you good Merlin.
"I will." I said as if it was a normal invitation for any other friend.
"Good" he said.
"Ced. I need to go back to my dorm..." but I didn't want to go.
"Oh please stay a bit longer. Just this once." He said holding my hand.
And so I did.
