Cassidy's POV

I woke up and looked at my clock. It was 10:00am, which meant I had two hours to get ready for my 'outing' with Hayes. I really didn't know what to call it; part of me wants to call it and outing, the other part wants to call it a date.

I grabbed a white lace dress that reached the middle of my thighs and wore white flats. Then, I straightened my hair so that it was pin-straight. I grabbed my wristlet and my phone, then I drove to Panera Bread.

As I was walking into the restaurant, I spotted Hayes sitting at a table. I walked over, and I saw that he had my favorite soup waiting for me. It was still hot and everything.

"Aww, Hayes you remembered!" I blushed.

"Of course I did." Hayes smirked.

I sat down and Hayes and I caught up on the things we missed in each other's lives.

"Why did you blame me for your breakup with Jordan?"

Uh oh, why did I just say that?

Hayes sighed.

"Sorry I shouldn't have brought that up." I looked down.

Hayes grabbed my hand across the table, and looked into my eyes.

"No, you deserve to know what happened."

At that moment, I saw the old Hayes, my best friend. His eyes lightened up, and his face was so soft looking and relaxed. I couldn't help but smile.

"I blamed you for the breakup because you actually did get in the way of it. Before you say anything let me explain. You didn't appear in my relationship intentionally, it's just that... ugh, its hard to say, it really is.

I had feelings for you."

The thought of Hayes having feelings for me made me feel special and happy for some reason.

Did I like Hayes?

Hayes started talking again which made me stop thinking.

"I know it is hard to believe, but I really did like you. I felt that if I like you my reputation would be ruined. Although, I liked you so much that I knew that I couldn't fake my relationship with Jordan. Every time I was with her, I wished that I was with you. I didn't want to hurt Jordan, but in the end I hurt you. You were no one to blame.I was foolished and attacked an innocent person. I didn't know what to do with my anger. Could you ever forgive me?"

I smilied and looked directly at Hayes,

"Yes, I do forgive you, you've changed. Even though you hurt me so much that it was unbearable, i forgive you Hayes. I knew that my best friend was still deep inside of that jock."

Hayes walked over to me, picked me up, and hugged me.

"Thank you so much, Cass?"

Hayes looked uncomfortable when he said 'Cass'.

"You can call me Cass, my friends call me Cass and it is pretty evident that you are my friend."

I playfully nudged Hayes and he looked relieved. I think that he remembered when I told him how I felt on Christmas.

Hayes and I walked out of the restaurant. I looked over at him.

"Thank you for the soup, and the explanation."

Hayes grabbed my hand, "Your welcome. Uh is this okay I mean I don't want to rush things and-"

"Hayes, its okay."

We continued to walk and arrived at Hayes's car. He told me to hop in, so I listened. We drove in silence, and he still held onto my hand tightly. Hayes drove up to the beach, where we used to go with both of our families until we drifted apart.

I was going to open my door, but Hayes scolded me and opened it for me. Such a gentleman. We approached the beach and walked over to the shore. Hayes seemed nervous.

"Cassidy, I know that you will probably be suprised when you hear this, and I am saying it too soon, but I love you. When I say that, I mean in it a more than friends way. Ever since I set my eyes on you, I knew that I would fall for you. I hope that you can forget my past, and focus on the future."

I was astonished at what Hayes said to me. I knew that I was official falling for him. I couldn't resist the feeling."

"... so what I am tring to say is, Will you be my girlfriend?"

My heart stopped. Did he really just ask me this?"

" I knew that I shouldn't have-"

"Hayes, stop over-thinking everything. Yes, I will be your girlfriend. And... I love you too."

Hayes's POV

After Cassidy said 'yes' and told me she would be my girlfriend, I smashed my lips into hers. Tghe feeling that her lips gave me was one have never felt before. Not even with Jordan. It sent me flying and made my insides melt.

We seperated and I couldn't stop smiling, no matter how hard I tried.

"So, there was going to be a party tonight, and I was thinking that we should show up as boyfriend and girlfriend, but I would never force you into something like that. We could always stay home and cuddle-"

"Hayes I would love to go, with you." Cassidy said as she glanced into my eyes.

I hugged her and whispered into her ear, "You know, you always interrupt me, but it is a good thing because I would be rambling on forever. I second-guess myself a lot."

Cassidy laughed, " I know you do Hayes, believe me."

I drove Cassidy to her dorm and then back to mine. I was so excited and felt so accomplished to have such a beautiful girl as my girlfriend.

Cassidy's POV

I walked into my dorm and thoughtfully chose out my outfit for the party. I know I might sound like a loner, but I have never been to a party like that before.

I chose out a royal blue dress that ended at the middle of my thighs, but wasn't too revealing. It was lined with silver gems at the top, and one side went over my shoulder, the other shoulder was bare. I grabbed silver heels, sliver hoops, and silver bracelets.

Then I curled my hair with my wand, and applied a little bit more makeup then usual. I looked at my phone and it was 8:27 p.m. Hayes would be arriving here any minute. Just on time, there was a knock on my door. I took a deep breath and opened it. There stood Hayes in plaid khaki shorts, with a light blue button up shirt and vans.

Hayes's eyes were wide, and his eyes were scanning my body.

"Perfect is not even good enough to describe how beautiful you look. I am so lucky to have you."

"Aww Hayes, you are way to nice to me."

I hid my face in Hayes's chest to keep him from seeing me blush.

"You know you look absolutely adorable when you blush."

"Hayes, stop! You are making me blush even more!"

Hayes chuckled, "How about we get going?"

"Sounds good."

"After you ma'lady."

I smiled at Hayes and we went to his car. As we were approaching the house and I heard blaring music and could see the silohuettes of jumping bodies.

I had a really bad vibe about going to this party.

(A/N: Sorry guys I left you on a cliffhanger! Get ready to see what happens at the party! Is Cassidy's bad vibe incorrect? You'll find out!
