Cassidy's POV

Hayes squezzed my hand for assurance as we walked into the house of the party. You could feel the heat in the air, and there were so many people that I felt like I was in a zoo. Almost everyone that we passed had a red solo cup in their hands filled with alcohol. I felt like everything was spinning around me and-

"Babe, are you okay?"

I smiled up at Hayes because nobody had ever called me 'babe', and it didn't sound cheesy at all when it came from his mouth.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

Hayes nodded and introduced me to some of the people that went to our university. I was actually slightly enjoying myself, especially because I was with Hayes. He wasn't afraid to tell people that we were dating.

Hayes's POV

I noticed that there were many boys checking Cassidy out. They were staring her down like hawks. Every move she would make, their eyes were sure to follow.

I looked over at Cassidy and she was talking to Chad. He was the biggest player that I have ever met. He was never in a committed relationship. I walked over and wrapped my arm around her waist, and hoped that Chad would get the hint.

"Cass, let's get going..." I said uneasily.

"Okay... are you alright?" She looked at me while scrunching her eyebrows.

"Of course, I have somewhere else we should go. Goodbye Chad." I smirked.

As we were exiting I looked back and met eyes with Chad. He was giving me a death stare as if trying to say 'back off'. Well, she's mine.

I opened the door for Cass and she thanked me.

We sat in the car in silence, just enjoying each other's company.

Cassidy's POV

Hayes was acting strange at the party, especially when I was around Chad. I don't know why he was so aggravated, it wasn't like I was flirting with him.

After about 10 minutes of me being deep in thought, we pulled up to another extremely busy house.

I looked at Hayes and said, "Another party?"

"Yeah, is that alright, I mean we can go home if you would like."

"Oh no, that's okay. Let's just go enjoy ourselves?" My statement came out more as a question.

Hayes walked over to me and grabbed my hand, and we entered the busy house.

For some odd reason, I wasn't as worried as I was going to the second party. Hayes would never cheat on me. He always keeps me by his side and is very protective over me, and I am thankful for that.

Hayes continued introducing me to everyone that he knew, and I spotted my friend Lindsay sitting on the couch by herself.

"Hey Hayes, I think I am going to talk to Lindsay for a little while. She looks lonely. Come and get me if you need me or want to leave."

"Alright baby, I'm going right over there to talk to my friends who play football. Stay in my sight." Hayes kissed my cheek and then walked over to his friends.

"Hey Linz, I missed you so much!"

Lindsay looked at me and engulfed me into a hug.

We talked for what seemed like years to catch up on everything. Lindsay told me how she met Nash, Hayes's older brother, and he asked her out on a date. I then explained how me and Hayes were dating and how he won me over so easily.

I looked back at where Hayes's friends were, and Hayes wasn't there. My heart skipped a beat and I jumped up to look for him. I told Lindsay that I had to check up on him and she gave me another hug,

I walked over to Hayes's friends and asked them where they saw Hayes go. They all looked at each other as if not to tell me, and just shrugged.

"Come on guys, I know you know where he is, just please tell me what direction he went, and I will find him myself."

They all pointed upstairs. Maybe he has alcohol poisoning, hopefully not.

I scurried up the stairs and opened every bedroom I could find, except the one that I heard moans from, I didn't want to 'interrupt' anyone.

I went back downstairs and checked every room and outside. Hayes's car was there, but where was he? Oh, no...

I ran up the stairs and busted open the door, and I wish I didn't.

Hayes and Jordan were making out, and it was intense.

I stood there for about two minutes just watching the horrific scene. Hayes didn't even notice me, his girlfriend, standing in the doorway with tears flooding down my face.

Finally Hayes's lips broke off from Jordan's and he turned his head in my direction. His face rushed with sympathy, the same as it did on Christmas long ago.

I managed to say, "I gave you one chance, one chance, and within the first few hours of our relationship, you became bored of me, and moved on. I'm standing right in front of my past. I cannot believe that I fell for your tricks, lies, and fake emotions. We are over Hayes, and please, don't ever come back..."

Those words broke my heart because I fell in love for him, fast, and I would have waited for him.

Hayes's POV

Those words hurt me, the way I broke her. I looked at Jordan in disgust. I couldn't believe what I had done to such an innocent girl. I know Cass would have never hurt me. She would be there for me whenever I needed her.

I had to get her back.
