Cassidy's POV

I felt the blood rising in my cheeks after Hayes said that he wanted to see me.

I cannot be falling for him, though.

Falling in love with Hayes is unavoidable. He has a gravitational pull on me, just like Mars. He is charming and sweet when he wants to be. He always knows how to make someone feel special.

Although, falling in love with Hayes is almost being guarenteed to get hurt. Its like falling into an endless pit, that had a solid cement bottom.

Maybe I should give him a chance to be in my life. I might be happy for once.

"Alright, then I should probably get going I have other clients to meet with." LIE.

Hayes nodded, "Here, I will walk you out."

I smiled "Okay, goodbye Matthew, hope to see you soon!"

"Bye Cassidy!"

I waved once more and followed Hayes.

He turned around, but he looked nervous.

"Would you like to meet me for lunch tomorrow, as friends?"

I though about the offer.

"Even though it hurts me, I guess I can give you a chance."

Hayes winked at me, "Hey, its a free lunch right."

I chuckled, "Sure thing, goodbye Hayes."

"Goodbye Cassidy, I will pick you up at noon, if that is okay?"

"Sounds good to me. I'll see you around."

Hayes blushed, "Yup."

We just awkwardly stood outside of his door. Then he embraced me with his warm arms into a hug. This time, I hugged him back.

We let go and I walked away, turned back and waved at him. He gladly waved back.

Hayes's POV

Thank goodness Cassidy said yes!

I ran back into my dorm and told Matt everything that happened. He didn't seem as happy for me as I thought he would.

Maybe I was right, he may want her all for himself.

I walked to my bed and jumped onto it. I found myself smiling at the thought that I would be going to lunch with Cassidy.

I think I like her more than a friend, hopefully she feels the same way. I want to tell her and receive her answer, but I don't want to rush things. We did just have our first civilized conversation in a very long time.

Matt's POV

Hayes was giddy and lovestruck when Cassidy agreed to go to lunch with him. I know that if they every do have a relationship, Hayes will find a way to jeopardize it.

I care about Cassidy, and I do not want her to be hurt again. She was hurt way too much in her past.

Maybe, I want to be more than friends with Cassidy too.
