Time for a change

Chapter 1

On October 5 2017, a couple was having dinner at a fine restaurant. Everything was going very smooth and they felt absolutely relaxed. When suddenly, "I think its time, Joseph！" said the pregnant wife to her husband（Joseph）, when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach and thats when she realised she is going into her labour and she was about to give birth to her child in no time. Joseph was confused at Wendy's （pregnant wife） and gave her a raised eyebrow but thats when her words sink in and realisation hit him at what she actually meant by those words. He nods at her and got panic to see his wife in such a painful situation. He then called out to the waiter who was in-charge-of their table for the night and gave him a $500 bill, "Keep the change！" with that the waiter nodded at him and left their table with confusion written all over his face. After that, Joseph rushed to his wife and knelt down in front of his wife and said "Everything is gonna be fine. I'll always be by your side！" He assured her with a smile and to that she gave him a weak smile. He got up to his feet and called his driver and told him to get the car to the restaurant entrance as soon as possible, with that he cut the call. He then turned to to his wife who was suffering from the pain and at that time he just hoped his wife and the baby was alright. He went to his wife and held her hand in his big ones and gave it a light squeeze as if that will ease her pain a bit. After a moment, the car finally arrived and Joseph carried his pregnant wife in his arms towards the car and as soon as the driver approaching towards the car in long strides, he then opened the car door for them. As soon as Joseph laid Wendy at the back seat of the car while her head was resting on his lap he told the driver to drive to any nearest hospital as fast as he could. At that time, Joseph didn't cared about anything, he just wanted his wife and the unborn child to be alright.

In less than 5 minutes they arrived at the city hospital and soon as the car came to a halt, Joseph carried his wife into the hospital. A few nurses rushes to them with a stretcher and Joseph carefully laid Wendy on the stretcher. Joseph rushed to the reception before giving Wendy an assuring smile indicating that everything was gonna be alright. He asked the lady, "Please call the doctor, my wife is in her labour, she is about to give birth." Before the lady could said anything, the doctor came to Joseph and patted his shoulder and said, "Stay strong！" and with that the doctor gave Joseph a brief smile and instructed the nurses to bring the pregnant woman to the emergency room！Joseph held onto his wife's hand and assured her that everything was gonna be fine but Wendy couldn't understand anything because her vision was becoming blurry and everything in front of her started spinning and before she could think of anything, she lost her consciousness and everything blacked out.
