A/N It's that day of the week again, fellow teddies/followers/readers/writers. I'm updating another chapter in the hopes that'll it'll gain a thousand likes, maybe a billion. LOL, one can dream, right?
If you're confused as to whom this person up here on the multimedia dashboard is, it's Aaron. Poor fella looks depressed, doesn't he?
Enjoy!
Celia Baker noticed her son's appearance and instantly sat up straight. 'How did it go?'
They've pressured the young boy to try and talk sense into his older sister, convince her that they meant her no harm and only desired a better career for her than playing in some silly low-budget movie. How far could their daughter really go without experience or a degree in drama?
'There's not much to say,' Aaron told them then saw their expressions of curiosity whilst inwardly grinning how his sister was clever enough to escape their clutches. 'except that my sister is one stubborn woman. She didn't want to listen to reason at first, kept yapping on about how she wanted to live her life her way, carrying on like some drama queen,'
'Yes, and?' Mr Baker chipped in.
'Well,' Aaron cleared his throat. 'I made her a deal. Told her she's gotta get her stuff together and start acting like a grown-up. Mia's got a younger brother who looks up to her and aspires to walk in her footsteps. She can't lose the plot now,'
'Did she listen to you? Could you see a change of heart in her?'
'For now, let's just give her some space. Let her think things over and come apologise to you on her own.'
His parents agreed to that. They were content knowing their daughter had come to her senses and wasn't set on destroying her life by investing herself into being a pop star. As everyone else was happy now, Aaron was feeling distraught. His older sister he often went to for advice, bragged about her intelligence and outspoken personality to his friends has run from her responsibilities to become something far greater.
In more ways than not, Aaron agreed with their parents. Becoming an actress was a wobbly career choice. Never knowing when they'll use you for the next big hit movie, and traveling from place to place without a steady income can become exhausting.
The fourteen-year-old strode to his room and laid down on his bed, tucked his arms underneath his head and stared up at the roof. In silence he enjoyed his own company and replayed the evening's tragic events over in his mind.
'You're making a very big mistake, Mia,' he sounded aloud and emitted a sigh of disappointment. 'Where ever you are right now, I hope you're satisfied.'
Into the darkness of the evening on a tranquil path off the roads out of her home city. The city nightlights distracted the young girl and she continued casting her gaze on the moving buildings, the stores open late into the night. It was soothing, made her forget that she was defying her mother and father and leaving her little brother Aaron to deal with their hatred because of her actions.
To her, this was the only solution to start her life anew. Build a future in the career she loved and dreamed of all her life. She had the skill for acting and performing - as various drama teachers had told her before. Perhaps a little tweaking here and there, polish off her act a little more and she'd be perfect for the stages of Hollywood.
