Chapter 5- Lol Wut?

"Scott and I are a couple!"

I stand completely shocked. I was really not expecting that.

That is the moment Scott decides to get back from the bathroom.

"Scott!" Screams Gunner as Scott scans the area with his eyes. "You didn't tell her about our relationship?" I can hear the disappointment in his voice.

"Well..." He blushes. "I was going to tell her but I thought we should tell her together."

"Well it's too late now," snaps Gunner. "I told her and invited her for dinner tomorrow night!"

"What? Already? Don't you think it's a little early, she might get freaked out..."

I have to say I feel a little awkward. I try my best to look anywhere but them to give them a little privacy, even though we are in the middle of a huge crowd.

"Kelly?" Gunner's voice brings my eyes back to the couple. "Are you okay with eating dinner at our house tomorrow?"

"Yeah!" I say. "I would love to."

Gunner gives Scott the 'I-told-you-so' look and smiles at me. After a few moments, Scott asks me if I want to go back home.

"Hum... I would love to stay but I told my mom I would be back soon."

"That's okay, I'll drive you back." He smiles at me.

Butterflies suddenly exploded in my stomach.

Brain: Stop it stupid stomach! He has a boyfriend!

Stomach: oh I'm sorry, I thought you still liked him.

Heart: Of course she likes him you idiot! She likes him since the first day she saw him!

Stomach: Well then why is she telling me to stop?

Heart: Because she's afraid to find someone else and-

Brain: WILL YOU ALL JUST SHUT UP???

"Are you okay?" That's when I realize Scott is waiting for me on his motorcycle while handing me a helmet.

"What? Uh... Yeah. Sorry." I quickly take the helmet from his hands and get on the engine.

After a short (scary) ride, I'm home.

"Thank you for tonight." I say while taking the helmet off. "I had a blast."

"I had fun too," he smiles. "And I'm sorry you had to find out about my situation that way..."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I know you weren't expecting it and I know the fact came out you a little abruptly... I'm sorry."

"No, don't apologize!" I smile. "It's completely fine. You two are adorable together!"

"You really think so?" He says, with a mix of guilt and happiness in his voice.

"Yeah." I smiled.

"Thanks Kelly, that means a lot." And he pulls me into a hug, which I return.

As I enter the house, all the lights are off. I glance at my phone to see the time: 12:45. Uh oh... My mom is going to kill me when she finds out I was out so late on a school night.

But what if she doesn't find out?

I smile evilly. Ah, how I love my self-conscious sometimes.

Okay, so my room is on the third floor. I am currently on the first. I have to get up the first set of stairs where my mom's room is as well as my sister's, then get up the second set of stairs and from then on just be careful not to make too much noise.
