The soft morning breeze came through the curtains of the beach house, however Daniel had been awake for a bit longer already. He looked down at Giulia, her bare back turned to him and the thin sheets covering a part of her hips, one of her legs swung over them. Her skin was tanned by the summer weather of New Zealand, her hair sprawled out over the pillows and he couldn't seem to take his eyes off her. Daniel trailed his fingertips up her spine, moving his hand over her shoulder and to her arm, watching the goosebumps raise on her skin. Sarah and Brendon were getting married today and they had to get to the venue early, so they could get dressed up and see exactly what they needed to do and what not to do. Giulia turned around to burry her face in his chest, not wanting to leave the soft bed yet. She fell in love with New Zealand and absolutely didn't want to leave after this wonderful week, but they sadly had to as it was time to prepare for the new season.
Daniel absently moved his fingers through her hair, from her head all the way to the curly ends and it almost made her fall asleep again. "We really have to get up now". He mumbled, kissing her forehead as she opened her eyes. "Hmm, okay". Giulia hummed in response and yawned, rolling to her back to stretch her arms above her head. She sat up on the edge of the bed, pushing her messed up hair out of her face and searching for her slippers to slip them on her feet. Daniel chuckled at how she made her way to her suitcase to get some clothes out of them, disappearing into the bathroom to take a shower. He decided to follow her, taking his clothes as well and dropping them on the ground before pushing the curtain aside and getting in with her. Giulia felt his hands grasping onto her hips as he got under the lukewarm water with her. "Remember how we used to shower together as four year olds?". He mentioned.
"So innocent back then". Giulia grinned, turning towards him to slide her hands up his wet chest, his skin smooth beneath her hands. She shivered as her back met the cool tile wall of the shower and she was easily lifted up against it to meet his height. Their lips connected in a loving kiss, but soon her fingers tightened their grip on his hair and his fingers dug harder into her hips. "Not too much damage, we have a wedding to attend". She mumbled, sounding not convincing at all as his lips moved over her neck. "You know I'm all about vanilla mornings, babe". Daniel replied in her ear. "Weren't you in a bit of a hurry just yet?". Giulia mumbled against his lips. "Nah". He grinned and kissed her fully again.
After their shower, they quickly had breakfast together and made their way to the beautiful venue where the wedding of Sarah and Brendon was held. The location was absolutely stunning and Giulia was sure the result of the wedding pictures would be gorgeous. Sarah told Giulia the men would be dressed in a blue suit, as Brendon was wearing that colour too. The Italian hasn't seen the wedding dress yet, but the dress she had to wear was already stunning, surely Sarah would overdo them all, and as the bride she definitely had the right to. Giulia and Daniel separated as they both had to get dressed. She wasn't used to being put in a chair and having her hair and makeup done, but she enjoyed it this once. Giulia looked at herself in the mirror with the white bridesmaid dress on, she was complimented on how beautiful she looked, however she had only blushed and quietly thanked the lady.
Giulia had gotten a glimpse of Sarah and she couldn't let it but walk in the room to see her complete dress. "You shouldn't be here, you know". Sarah said with a small smile. "I know, but look at you". She took Sarah's hands and she smiled. "You're going to marry the love of your life". Giulia dreamily sighed and Sarah nibbled on her lower lip, she had been emotional all day already. "Get out before I'm going to cry". She giggled and Giulia nodded with a smile, quickly letting everybody do their work again. The pictures of everyone were taken outside and she had seen Daniel from a small distance, the suit fitting him perfectly and he looked so handsome. She couldn't wait to get back to his side again. Daniel looked over at Giulia as she stood on the other side, next to the other girls that were Sarah's bridesmaids and he couldn't take his eyes off her yet again.
He barely listened to the vows and the kiss as he could only picture him and Giulia in the places of Brendon and Sarah. It was time for Sarah to throw the flowers and then their first dance on the grass of Waiheke. "Good luck girls! May you marry soon". Sarah laughed as she turned and threw the flowers over herself and into the air. Giulia managed to grasp it out of the air and she held it in her hands. "I think you're stuck with me for a little longer, Dan". She laughed and Daniel smiled at her, looking at Brendon over his shoulder as his friend already knew that Daniel had a ring for her at home. "As long as you don't spend all of my money, I'm fine with it". He pulled her close by her lower back and Giulia smiled up at him, straightening his white button up a bit, taking a look at the flowers on his jacket. "You're so handsome". She sighed and he chuckled. "And you're the most beautiful woman in the world".
The music started and Brendon and Sarah had their dance, other couples soon joining when they were allowed to. Giulia and Daniel slowly moved along to the music, staring up at each other. He never failed to make her heart beat faster, and she never failed to make his head spin with how crazy he was about her. They've always been just a bit more than friends, but their friendship made them so strong. He didn't ever want to lose her.
