"She is the most perfect little girl on the planet." Brendon mumbled as he held our daughter. I couldn't contain the smile tugging at my lips as I watched him. He says those exact words everyday, she's only been here for 6 weeks and she already has him wrapped around her little finger. He spends hours just sitting and holding her, sometimes he tells her stories about crazy things he did. Brendon and I struggled with the idea of having children, he would be gone for months at a time and I'd be left here, but we eventually decided we were ready. When we found out I was pregnant we hid it for awhile, both of us wanting to enjoy it in privacy. Brendon continued working on his music like nothing had changed. Both Brendon and I were terrified, soon WE would be responsible for a newborn. "She's getting fussy." Brendon declared, pulling me back to reality. I took Nova from him and went to fix her bottle, Brendon trailing behind me. Nova cooed in my arms, wiggling around a bit. Brendon gave me a kiss on the cheek and said he was going to go livestream. As I fed Nova I couldn't move my gaze from her. She really is perfect to us. I thought back to when I was pregnant, just a few days from the due date, and Brendon grew more and more anxious as each moment passed. I remember Brendon's soft hands gently gliding across the stomach before he placed them on either side and then his ears, desperately trying to hear anything. He would stay in that position for a few minutes before turning and placing a gentle kiss, just above my belly button. "It's time to come out my love." He'd whisper. I smiled at the thought, missing that feeling. I felt complete now. I have the most amazing husband, and we have the most beautiful baby girl.
