Chapter Thirteen: The Truth (Part 3)

(This chapter mentions Will and his girlfriend wanting to go to a club, BUT NOTHING INAPPROPRIATE HAPPENS WHATSOEVER!! the only thing mentioned is how it's filled with people dancing!)

Will began to change from that moment on. Him and Bill met up around once a month and would sit in the mindscape, having conversations. They got to know eachother and their pasts. I won't go into much detail, because it's nothing more than what you would expect. The significant detail I will add, However, is that Bill really had a rough past before he met Will; and he found himself softening just the slightest bit more every time he spent time with Will. After a year of spending much time together, it was like Bill was a different person. He was happier and almost more free. As for Will, he found somebody to confide in about the struggles of living on earth and hiding his powers. Gina could tell that as time went on, he was becoming a less stressful person. He rarely ever cried, and while he still stuttered plenty, it was more regulated. She was very happy for him and also happy that he still depended on her a healthy amount. When Will was with Bill, he was like a completely different person. Smiling, laughing, rambling on in conversation... again, even with his stutter. He was feeling like a normal person.

One day, Will was in such a energized mood that he didn't want to wait until Gina was asleep to visit Bill. Gina and Will were planning on going out that evening, she wanted to take him to a dance club for the first time. Will was very anxious at even the thought of that. He paced around the apartment rambling on to himself about how upset he was. The moment he heard Gina unlocking their apartment door, he instantly teleported to the Mindscape without a second thought.

"Will?" Gina said. "Where are you???"

She looked around their place and he was nowhere to be found. She was a bit concerned so she texted him.

Will felt his phone vibrate, but instead of replying, he made a note appear on their table saying "meet you there later" he was referring to the club.

Will realized he was alone in the mindscape and couldn't talk to Bill. He wouldn't show up for another 5 hours. Will was letting a lonely feeling sink in for just a moment, when Bill suddenly appeared.

"Will? What are you doing here?" Said Bill.

"Bill!!" Said Will, suddenly filled with joy. He sat down with Bill, and they began discussing his problem of Gina wanting to go to a club with him. Will was still upset about it obviously, but he felt such relief talking to Bill that he was able to feel much better about everything. Bill told him how he shouldn't go if he doesn't want to, and she should understand that. Suddenly, as the conversation transitioned, Will began to ramble on about his relationship with Gina. The problem was that he began to speak his mind without thinking first...

"It's n-not just about my fear of h-human clubs though," Will said.

"What else?" Bill continued to just listen.

"I just f-feel off because she wants to take me t-to this thing I really don't want to do, and it's ma-making me so unhappy, and she just isn't m-making me as happy anymore!" Will didn't even realize he said it out loud.

"Really?" Bill was surprised.

"Yeah! I-I just don't feel as happy with her anymore... and that's awful! I just feel s-so happy lately and better about myself, and it isn't b-b-because of her! I'm getting my happiness from somewhere else... I-I can tell."

Bill was shocked at how open and bold Will was being. He had no idea his human girlfriend wasn't satisfying him anymore. On top of that, he too had noticed how Will has been a lot better lately, but he thought it was because of Gina. What else could make Will so happy? Bill felt a strange, giddy feeling in his chest.
