Chapter 9: I trust you

"Do you like it?"

The voice behind you asked. It was more of a manly grown type of voice.. And only one person that you known owned it. And that person was Mr. Park. He stood over me with the umbrella that was keeping me from adapting the rain drops as I looked up at him.

"The flower.. Do you like it??"

He asked again with the slightest warm smile as he stared down at me. Meanwhile I just looked back down at the little blue flower still in deep wonder. What did the flower do? Why was it's life like this? And I know many people might just say it's just a flower it has no feelings. But it has a life... Just like us.. It may be different but it's still real...

You sat there for a while before standing up straight realizing that you were by yourself with Mr. Park... But where was your mother.. Was she okay?

"Where is my mother"

You asked plainly before turning around towards the man. He gave you a reassuring smile. You didn't know what for But he just smiled.

"She's fine, actually she's waiting for you in the car.. We have a surprise for you.. And I promise you'll like it."

He said as he put his arm on your back and he began to lead you to his car. You started to feel uneasy and a bit dizzy. But you just brushed it off thinking it was just a little dizziness from being crouched down for so long. And that's when he's asked the question that's been weighing him down for a while now..

"why did you do it.."

He asked and at first you didn't hear the question because you zoned out listening to the rain that fell helplessly to the ground..
That was until a car was driving really fast that immediately stopped in front of you both. The Windows never rolled down you couldn't see inside because the Windows were tented and it has a mirroring effect , the car looked really really expensive.

Suddenly Mr. Park received a text, meanwhile your just stared at yourself from the reflection wondering what did you deserve to have a life like this as well.. When Mr. Park looked at his phone he looked up and simply nodded at the car. After the nod was given the cars wheels instantly made a screeching sound as it pulled off at a even faster pace than before.

"Who was that?"

You asked wondering who the mysterious person was that his behind the cars door. He looked down and smiled giving off a little giggle before leading you the rest of the way to the car. He was about to answer you until the Window to the car that he led you to had rolled down. And there sat your mother in the passengers seat, you immediately took off towards the car.

Your mother instantly got out of the car and ran to hug you. You were so happy to see her again and you felt disappointed in yourself for doing such a thing. She held you tightly in her arms while she stroked your long and now wet hair. This lasted for a while until she suggested that you both get into the car before you both catch a cold. You Let a little giggle escape your lips and you did as she said.

You got into the car and she shut the car door for you. You watched as she turned around towards Mr. Park and she gave him a hug. At first you thought okay I'm proud of her for making a friend after her hard times until... They kissed

I mentally cringed but soon that cringe was replaced with doubt and happiness.. You feared that the same thing will happen to her, and you didn't want another one of those dad episodes. You slowly looked away and you Let out a scoff.

Once they got into the car they told you about how they had recently been together and in you head wondered 'if you both had been together why haven't you helped us out... Why did you let us suffer.' And it was like he'd read my mind.

"I know... But the thing was that I was out of town on a business trip.. I tried to come sooner but it didn't work out but now I'm here with you and my future wife"

Mr. Park said with a voice full of sorrow and confidence as he caressed your mother cheek before he drove.
You gave a little nod of understanding and you just looked out of the window watching the other cars flying last your eyes. When you stretched a short rectangular box covered in silver wrapping paper caught your eyes. Your mother looked back at you smiling before saying

"Open it... It's for you"

Waiting for you too pick up the box and see what was in it. You slowly took the box and opened it. When you had gotten all of the silver wrapping papers off of the box you saw a million tiny black words on the bottom of the box and a apple logo inbetween the two paragraphs.

You scrunched up your eyebrows confused of what this was and  why it has words on it. But the thing that confused you the most was the apple...

"Turn it around silly"

Mr. Park said as smiled and glanced at you from the review mirror that hung down in front of the windshield. You didn't know what you didn't think of that earlier. Turning around the box letting out a gasp.. It was an iPhone 7 you looked at it in shock as you took it out of the box. Analyzing the color and its form

"H-how..."

" Do you like it.. I didn't know what kind of phone you would have wanted but I got you that one I'm sorry if it's not good enough because you know I'm not really up to date with these type of things bu--"

You cut him off.

"It's perfect..thank you. But you really didn't need to buy me anything really this is too expensive you can take it ba--"

It was his turn to But you off.

" I didn't need to, but I wanted to and I can buy what ever I want to when it comes to you and your mother.. I want to protect you both.. And I felt happy buying you things. So Dont worry about price because I got you... I got you both. And I will protect you both and that's a promise"

He said with his voice full of love, passion,and hope... So I believed him. But still we've been hurt enough so really all I could think was  Please treat us well... Then I spoke the words that I've never spoken ever in a while

"I'm trusting you"
