Chapter 5

Shelbys POV

He was still holding my hand and then he spoke up

"Will you go on a date with me?" he asked while blushing

"Yes but when?"

"Tonight.." he smiled

"I will come get you at seven."

He left and I got ready.

I put on a floral printed crop top, black skinny pants, and black toms.

I curled my blonde hair and just added mascara.

About an hour late Shawn came and picked me up.

"Where are we going?"

"Its a suprise!"

Then we finally arrived. We ended up at a park.

There was a huge red blanket scattered out under a tree with a picnic basket.

Inside were two ham and cheese sandwiches, two cans of coke, and lastly strawberries with chocolate.

We ate our sandwiches and then we fed each other strawberries dipped in chocolate.

Shawn just kept looking at me.

"Why are you staring at me" I asked while smiling

"Because your beautiful"

I felt my face heat up then he said

"I'm glad you feel the same because I have always wanted to ask you this, but will you be my girlfriend?"

I grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers

"I would love to"

Then we cupped my face with his hand and kissed my lips

Shawn Mendes is my perfect boyfriend..

Shawns POV

So shelby and I are dating now and I'm just so happy. I have always liked her. I just didn't know how to explain my feelings to her.

Now that we are together I feel happier.

I remember Taylor liked her too but he never told her.

But hopefully this doesnt cause drama between us two.

Taylor's my bestfriend but Shelby is my girlfriend.

But I like Shelby way to much to leave her.

Me and her are gonna last a while. Even if Taylor still likes her.

I like her and there's no one stopping me..
