~Chapter 4~

I text Kian because I really want to know if he's in California

A: hey are u in Cali?

A few minutes later Kian texts back

K: no why would u think that?

A: well I saw your brother do I just thought you were here too

K: no my brother is just there for work

A: oh well sorry to bother you bye

K: wait we haven't talked in awhile so I would like to talk to you so what's been going on?

A: nothing really

K: oh

A: what about you?

K: well I'm on vacation right now

A: oh cool where are u?

K: I don't know it's a weird place

A: oh

K: sorry but I have to go my mom wants me so bye and I'll text you soon

A: ok bye

I put my phone in my pocket and went down stairs. Lexi and my foster parents were all on the couch watching tv.

They don't notice me so I go out the back door to get out side. I then got a text from Kian.

K: I forgot to tell you that I mailed you something a few days ago and they said it would be delivered today so check if you got it

A: okay

I go around the house to check the mail box. I open it and see that there's an envelope. I open it and and there's a note in side so I read it.

It says:

Dear Alex,

I have a surprise for you. You have to go to this exact address. It's nothing that exciting but I need you to see it. So go to 148 Canaby Rd.

Sincerely Kian

I wonder what it is? I go back inside and get my penny board from my room. I come back and start going to 148 Canaby Rd.

I have to turn one more corner than I'm there. When I turn the corner I see a poster saying 'I'm here'. Then something comes out from behind it. Then I see... Kian. "OH MY GOD" I yell.

Kian opens his arms out, and I run as fast as I can to him. When I get to him I hug him and he hugs me back.

We let ago. I'm so excited to see him. "What are you doing here" I smile. "Were visiting for a little while" Kian says. I hug him again.

I haven't seen him in 5 years. the last time I saw him was at school in Connecticut. And that was in the 6th grade. We still talked to each other and we facetimed a lot. so we never lost touch.

"You look so different" I said, "well you haven't seen me in person since 6th grade" Kian says, we both laugh.

"Are you busy tonight" Kian asks, "no why" I said, "well we can go to your favorite restraint tonight" Kian says.

"Well I guess so and do you remember what that restraint is" I ask with a smile, "Taco Bell?" Kian asks, "I'm surprised you got that right" I said.

"Well you are my best friend" Kian says. I laugh "ya that's true".

We go to Taco Bell and order our food and get a seat on the corner.

We talk about how we are doing and eat our food.

"How long are you staying here" I ask. Kian smiles and there's a small pause.

"I'm moving to California" Kian says, still with a huge smile on his face. "OH MY GOD REALLY" I said in excitement. "Ya we already have everything moved in to our house" Kian says.

"We can finally hang out again" I said. We both get up and hug. We finish our food then he walks me to my house then we say goodbye. Then he walks to his house.
