Dear Sleep,
Why do you evade me at night? And why do you fill my days? At some point you no longer were a good escape. You put all my fears into play. Oh, how I love sleep. But it kills me to do so. For the voices are only heard louder when my eyes are closed. Sometimes i decide -on my own- to sleep during the day. For the nightmares you make me absorb in the dark are far worse. In the day your energy wanes. So the dreams consuming my mind hold less fear. I sleep during the day for fear of what dreams might come at night. Yet staying up in the dark fills me with great stress. Sleep, Why do you torment me, even when my eyes are wide open?
