Dear Dehumanizer,

How you have stripped my skin off. Down to the bone. How your poison started on my skin, but went so deep into my soul. How after every time a strip of my skin fell off it was replaced. But the replacement was unlike the rest. The skin thicker, scarred, and rough. Making it harder for you to remove it. But you did. No matter the screams. No matter the tears. No matter the blood pooling at my fingertips. Until my skin was no longer soft. It was scarred and bleeding. But you told me it was new. Until my skin lost its color and became pale. From all the times you convinced me to hide from the sun. You made me into a cold object. How often I cried out; for you to let me out of my cage. And by the time you let me out, I had forgotten what the sun felt like. I had forgotten my name. And I begged you to let me back in. For I got accustomed to things no matter how horrifying they were. But you didn't let me back in. So I became a stranger in the world that I was born into.
