The Other Stronghold

Chapter 1

Sarephina Stronghold was the one person that knew her brother, Will Stronghold, didn't have his powers and was sworn to secrecy. Sarephina swore to protect her brother as much as she could so when she was supposed to start at Sky High she talked to her mom and dad into letting her wait until Will started to go.

Josie and Steve said yes pretty much the moment she asked because they saw how much Sarephina loved Will.

"Sarephina, sweetie, it's time to get up, you start school today," Josie tried to wake up her daughter.

Sarephina groaned and turned over and groaned out something that sounded like 5 more minutes but it was probably 5 more hours. "If you don't get up I'll have your father wake you up," Josie warned.

Before Josie could blink, Sarephina was jumping out of bed screaming, "NOOOOOOO"

Josie smirked and left letting Sarephina get dressed. "What was all the yelling no about," Steve asked Josie as she entered the kitchen.

"Waking up your daughter, I threatened to go get you," Josie smiled at him.

Steve chuckle and walked upstairs and making his way to Wills room. As he passed Sarephina's room he heard her singing and stopped to listen, he could never pass up the chance to listen. Sarephina smirked knowing her dad was listening as she gave Will so more time to get his room ready.

Sarephina smiled walking out of her room after she was all dressed (Outfit above). "Sweetie, you need to wear a little bit less black sometimes," Steve told her kissing her forehead.

"Love you too daddy," She smiled at him.

Sarephina walked downstairs to the kitchen and grabbing the plate that her mother handed to her. "Thanks, Mommy"

Josie smiled and handed Layla a glass of orange juice. "Sarephina, I'm so glad that you decided to wait to go to sky high just so you could be with Will and me," Layla smiled at the green-eyed girl.

"I am too, I didn't want to have all the fun without the best people in my life," Layla smiled at what Sarephina said.

There was a boom and pretty soon Will and Steve joined Josie, Sarephina, and Layla in the kitchen. Sarephine was on her tablet drawing and coloring a dragon that she had been working on for a few days, completely ignoring everyone around her. (Picture is not mine)

When Sarephina was done she noticed that Layla and Will were getting their stuff. Sarephina quickly put her tablet into her bag and followed them out of the house and done the sidewalk. "Hello kids," Mrs. Kibbitch called to the 3 super-humans while watering her lawn. 

"Hi, Mrs. Kibbitch," The tree called back.

They stopped at a tree as a bus pulled up and they got on, "Is this the bus to Sky High," Will asked.

Sarephina huffed and smacked the back of Will's head. "Shhhh, What are you, Crazy," the bus driver asked, "Do you want every supervillain in the neighborhood to know we're here?"

"No, no, Sorry," Will replied quickly.

Will walked passed him but he stopped me and Layla causing Will to stop, "What's your name, Freshman," He asked.

Sarephine's Pov

"I'm Sarephina Stronghold and this is my younger brother Will Stronghold," I answered.

The bus driver gulps and looks at Will and then me, "The son and daughter of The Commander and Jetstream," He suddenly stood up and grabbed me and Will by the shoulder, "Everyone! It's Seraphine and Will Stronghold! The son and daughter of The Commander and Jetstream," He said something else but I just tuned him out and passed Will to find an empty seat in the back.

I sat down and pulled out my tablet when Layla sat next to me, "What were you working on earlier," She asked laying her head on my shoulder.

I looked at her and smiled before pulling up my dragon drawing. "Wow," She gasped.

Layla was the only person that knew I could draw good. Layla left her head on my shoulder as I started to play Subway surfers trying to beat my high score of 1234567890. Now here's the this about me, I'm a heavy sleeper and can Ignore anything around me so I obviously didn't notice that the bus I was on flew off a bridge and grew wings and I obviously didn't hear all the other students screaming.

I noticed the bus was at school when Layla pulled me out of my seat and walked with me and Will off the bus and the bus driver started talking again so me being me, I looked at him acting like I was listening but honestly, all I saw was his mouth moving but nothing coming out.

When he was done I walked with all the other freshmen until we were all circled together by someone that was fast and fat. "Hey freshmen," He said, "Your attention please"

I sighed and crossed my arms, I really hate bullies. "I'm Lash and this is Speed," Lash said. What stupid names. 

"And as representatives of the Sky High welcome committee..," Lash started.

"We'd be happy to collect the $15 Dollars new student fee," Speed finished.

Lash stretched his hand out to me. Will stood next to me and he looked a little scared, not for me of course but for Lash and Speed. "I expect that hand out of my face in ten seconds," I spoke to him.

"Or what are you gonna do sunshine," Lash took his hand and gently touched my cheek. 

"You shouldn't have done that," Will and Layla whispered at the same time.

I smirked at him and secretly froze speed to were he was. "Well, why don't you come closer to find out~"

Lash fell for my seduction and walked closer. I wrapped my arms around him and smirked up at him, "You wanna know something~" Lash nodded quickly, "Never bully in front of me," I growled and made plants wrap around him so he was trapped.
