being a person thats black or has a black race, they know how hard it is to live in the 1960s. when all the colored and white signs would determine on who went to the bathrooms, who could use the water foundations, and many more.
a girl named y/n johnson was one of those many darkskin people, working her butt of all day at school and at work just to get made fun of for something she couldn't control.
her bestfriend caleb mclaughlin was like a brother to her, even though they are actually cousins they know how is feels to get made fun of by rich spoiled white kids who only cares for themselves.
y/n was taught that all white kids are mean and to always treat them nice no matter how bad they treat you back, even though she has a white best friend that treats her with kindness and delight , nobody knew that she even talked to the british girl.
also, the johnson family was known for the good food and desserts they have in their restaurant. everyone knew that the business was ran by blacks but the whites only came for the food, not for friendships.
