Jemma was still mad about the letter incident,the three stooges,however,found it hilarious. Last night they all found Jemma using magic to make the letters disappear and they helped,not without having a laughing fest that it.
"Can you believe the nerve of that man? He should be in a wheel chair by now" she exclaimed making Brourden snort who sat beside her at the bar. Snivel and Dafty were around either giving drinks or separating feuds.
"So...have you gave it any thought?"
Jemma shrugged innocently. "Yeah,but I'm not sure. I can't just pack up and leave you guys for more than half the year."
"We'll be fine,we're worried about you."
"Yeah three half giants should be able to handle themselves just fine" Gilda another regular costumer slurred. "Thank you,Gilda" Snivel sang receiving a sloppy thumbs up.
"It may take time,a lot of time or a little of time. I've been with all of you all of my life,I'd feel guilty for leaving. Plus who'd keep you in check?"
"Meeee!" Frank,another regular,cheered as he threw up his glass. Jemma faked an appreciative nod, "thank you,Frank."
His yellow teeth shown in the smile he gave making Dafty cough and turn away.
"Dumbledore clearly wants you at Hogwarts,I'd comply. You may get more letters" Snivel said while muttering the last sentence in a whisper as if he was attempting to scare her.
"The evil letters from Satan himself,oooh" Dafty said wiggling his fingers making Jemma snicker. Brourden walked up making several glasses hanging above shake but stay in place.
"Alright you three,there's work to be done" he said as the others sighed. Dafty got up and began taking orders again and Snivel claimed he had to go "powder his nose" which they all knew would take 2 to 3 hours with the beer cup he brought in with him.
Jemma sunk into a seat beside Gilda who turned to her,the two witches face a silent stare off. "You'd make them happy" Gilda said quietly. "But I'd be leaving them."
"Are you sure this is about you leaving them or them leaving you?"
Jemma turned to look at her. Where her words true? Yes. Did Jemmas underlying abandonment issues get in the way of her not wanting to go to a new place have anything to do with it? Maybe.
"I've never heard them be more excited about you becoming a powerful witch. It was all they talked about when you were little."
"Did I make them sad when I said I didn't want to go to Hogwarts?"
"Yes. But they got over it at seeing you were happy where you were."
The 16 year old sighed one of saddens. She didn't want them to be sad,she wanted the half giants to be happy and live the best lives they could. She guessed she never noticed how much she hurt them when she denied going to Hogwarts.
