The train ride was nothing short of Marlene's giggles,Jemma words of wisdom as Lily put it,and Lily trying to keep the excessive sweets and drinks Jemma had away.
Marlene was near completely drunk while Lily and Jemma had stayed sober enough to help her off of the train. Jemma had already put on her robes and was now holding Marlene up with one arm and Lily was doing the same to the other.
"I've never had this much fun on the train ride here" Marlene slurred and Jemma smiled.
"I'll take that as a complement."
"As you should."
Jemma then helped Marlene fully stand and began walking over with the first years that another half giant was beckoning over making her smile sadly.
"Your seriously leaving me with her!?" Lily exclaimed and Jemma shrugged. "You'll survive" Jemma called playfully and Lily rolled her eyes but smiled as she dragged Marlene away.
"Your not a first year" A voice said making Jemma look down and saw a short boy with glasses and blonde hair as well as a chubby face.
"Of course I am" She responded with her head held high. "What house are you in?" He asked placing his hands on his hips and looking up at her.
"Any house you want me to be in."
"It doesn't work like that."
Jemma sighed and pressed her lips together. "What's your name?" She asked him as they walked along a pathway.
"Lucas Blackburn,you?"
"Jemma Hugh" She said cheekily to him. "I've never heard of you. Either your new or just not popular."
"You happen to be both."
"This isn't about me."
"Your a sassy one,aren't you?" Jemma asked mocking his position and putting her hands on her hips while the crowd of first years and her stopped at a lake.
Lucas shrugged as he grabbed her hand and took her to a boat that once the pair sat down began moving through the black lake.
"Don't you have,you know,friends?" Jemma asked letting her fingers dip into the water which resulted in shivers traveling up her arm.
"Your my friend."
Jemma stared at him but didn't say anything.
She allowed her legs to stretch fully and Jemma leaned back to where her whole body was sprawled out in the boat making Lucas raise his eyebrows.
"Comfy I presume?"
"Indeed."
Toothless smiles both graced their faces as the boat rolled smoothly along the lake.
