"Fine. Wherever you are, Nate. If you're real, talk to me.", I murmured as I was alone in my cabin.

Nothing.

'Of course he won't. You shut him away. You wanted him to go away.', a little voice in my head said.

Ugh. Shut up.

Great. Seeing souls, hearing voices. Just one more thing and I'm going to believe I'm going crazy.

Nate, are you really real?

-----------------------------------------

It's been days since the incident, and everything's been pretty....normal.

I'm starting to believe everything that happened before was just a huge nightmare.

"Caitlyn? You okay?"

"Oh! What were you saying?", I blurted out as Mitchie snapped her fingers in front of my face.

She shook her head.

"You're always zoning off. Sometimes, you're scaring me."

"Sorry.", I said and sighed. After all these days, I still can't get the whole paranormal thing out of my head.

"Anyway, I was saying I might leave you in charge tomorrow because Shane's taking me with them."

"Where?", I asked.

"The hospital....to visit Nate."

"Oh...right.", I said. "Well, um, send my regards to them.", I just said. As much as possible, I avoided topics about Nate even if I am dying to ask how he is.

"Okay...", Mitchie said slowly, a tone of confusion in her voice.

"What?"

"Nothing... It's just...I don't know....I think something's weird.."

"And that is?", I asked. Sheesh... Am I that affected that even Mitchie notices it?

"I don't know. I just feel like something weird is going on."

Naturally, I would roll my eyeballs and make a sarcastic comment about her statement but today, today I don't feel like doing any of those. I'm kind of feeling the same way. Something weird is really going on.

"Mitchie, is Nate still in a coma?", I said before I realized what I said.

Shoot. Shoot. Shoot.

Mitchie looked at me.

"How did you know he's in a coma?"

I mentally cursed myself for asking such a dumb question.

Damn it.

"You told me, didn't you?", I said, my heart beating so fast in my chest.

"No...I don't think so...or did I?", Mitchie trailed off.

"You did! I think... Or maybe I just heard it somewhere else! You know, news travels so fast these days.", I blurted out.

"Oh... Well, yeah...Nate's still in a coma.", Mitchie said. "Cait, I should really go now. Mom needs me in the kitchen."

"Okay. I'll see you later.", I said, and Mitchie left the cabin.

After our conversation, my thoughts immediately wandered back to Nate.

He's still in a coma, and I knew about that.

I knew because he told me.

Does that mean it was all real? But what about the suicide? That wasn't real. What if there are parts that are actually real?

Nate, where are you? Seriously, talk to me if you're really some soul, or whatever so I don't have to confuse myself so much.

What if it wasn't real? Then, I must be crazy.

Nate...

I stood up and walked out of my cabin. My feet seemed to move at its own pace but I knew exactly where I was headed.

To where everything started.
