Monday morning. Day one after the "incident", if you could call it that. My alarm clock sounded, i got up, got dressed, ate breakfast and went to college, just like i would do in any Monday morning. When i got to school i saw my friend Lyla. I know i said i didn't had many friends. Well i do have one, i mean, sort of. Me and Lyla are more like acquaintances. She has closer friends, normal ones, ones that never faced a demon or casted spells. The fact is she is one of the few people in here who do not mind talking to me, so i really can't complain. Generally we meet in a place on campus that has grass on the ground and we sit there talking about stuff. But of course, this time it was going to be different. It's Autumn, so the grass in that part of campus is withered. When i put my hand on the ground to sit, the grass instantly turned green, as if it had reborn. When i saw what i had done i quickly sat on the green part of the ground, which made Lyla suspicious:

- Are you okay Casey? You look different today, weirder actually.

-Thanks Lyla that's good to hear- i said in a sarcastic tone. It was almost time for class so i got up trying to divert Lyla's attention from the grass and walked away with big steps.

And that was just the beggining. All sorts of strange things happened during that day. After school i usually help on a biology lab, for extra credit on my CV ( i know that its not my area of experties but being an overachiever has its advantages), which is Lyla's course, so we usually work there together. I was preparing a mouse for dissection. When i touched the creature, it suddenly started breathing again! Next thing i know the mouse was cut loose running on the lab, making a mess and we couldn't find it. The assistant teacher was really mad at us but thank god we were left with just a warning. But that wasn't all of it. Later that evening i was preparing a culture of bacteria and a few ours later when i went to check up on them, all of them had a massive growth, a lot more than usual. Lyla and our boss we're impressed and asked me what had i done. I just invented some lame excuse, which i don't even remember, to cover for the fact that i knew exactly how that had happened. In fact i knew exactly how all of those things were possible, but i couldn't obviously tell them.

I decided to take a break. Removed my lab coat, hung it on the lab door, and went to the bathroom to clear my head:

-Calm down Casey, this is just that guy getting inside your head trying to mess with you. You can control this, you can have a normal life- i said, trying to convince myself of what i was saying.

And then, the strangest thing happened. I felt a dark presence in the bathroom. Like i was not alone in there. I checked in all the cubicles, i was alone. The only time i felt that had been in that day at the baseball stadium, and i wasn't enjoying it all. I washed my face with cold water, and that feeling disappeared. I was definitely going crazy. I didn't know what that guy had done to me, but now i see why he had let me go so easily. He knew i would feel this way, he was just waiting for me to realize i couldn't control these powers on my own. He was waiting for me to go to him. But that wasn't gonna happen. I would fight this on my own and stay away from him.

On my way home, on the train, i looked at the people in my car and observed them. Is it possible that some of them are sorcerers? How many of them know that magic is real? How could magic live among us since the dawn of times and we were all so clueless to his existence? How did we never notice?. Since that faithful day i often think about what my grandfather, what he would have wanted for me. I mean, i know what he wanted, he would want for me to be happy. What if this really is my destiny? Well one thing i knew for sure. I was out of control and i needed to find a way to control myself before someone got hurt.

When i got home i couldn't eat so i went straight to bed and just lied there looking through my instagram listening to music and, thinking about my future, and by the time i fell asleep, i knew what i had to.
