"Are you sure that bastard didn't touch you?" Daniel asked, anger and worry evident in his tone.
"No, Dan. He just took all the cash I have on me." I replied with a sigh.
"That fucking bastard..." Daniel was just about ready to find Jace and pounce on him.
"Dan, don't mess with him. It's over. I don't want anything else to do with that guy." I immediately told him strictly.
A flirtatious smirk then formed on his lips. "Worried?"
I look at him with a deadpan look. "He'll kick your ass and probably mine, Dan."
"Hey, have a little confidence in me Cat. I won't allow him to come near you." He said confidently winking at me. I can't help but smile at how sweet he is. He should hurry up and find someone else so he wouldn't waste his efforts on me.
"Thanks, Dan."
"Anything for my princess."
"Ew no."
"Queen?"
I cracked a smile at how cheesy this conversation has become. "Stop." He let out a small chuckle at my reaction.
Our conversation was interupted when Alice came back from the bathroom. "Ooohhh, you two are becoming close." I rolled my eyes at her.
"Dan, switch!" A team member of the football team called out, throwing a football to Daniel. Daniel caught it perfectly.
"Talk to ya later, ladies." He ran towards the field to start a new game.
"Sooo, care to explain why you guys were laughing and flirting with each other during the past five minutes I was gone?" Alice asked nudging me on my side.
"We're not flirting. He's just being so unfunny that it's funny." I bluntly said to her.
"How boring but in all honesty, you two looked so cute together." I rolled my eyes again and just completely ignored her and brought out my phone.
'Iphone has been disabled'
"Dammit!" I swore under my breath and stored my phone back in my bag. "Where the hell's Cody, I want to go home and I need him to drive me."
"He's still discussing crap with Amanda. Just ask Dan for a ride. Trever said practice will end earlier today." I sighed. Alice is right, I should just wait for Daniel. I won't take that damn shortcut anymore. I just have to block all his advances for a couple of minutes.
=================================
"You know, I don't mind giving you a ride everyday." Daniel said as we walked to wherever his car is parked."That's asking for too much but thanks anyway."
Once we got to the parking lot, I let Daniel lead the way. My eyes widened when I saw him approach a motorcycle. I'm gonna have to cling onto him...shit!
"Hop on." Dan invited as he started up his motorcycle up. I have no choice now do I. I approach him and he handed me a helmet. I got on behind him, securing my helmet before clinging onto his torso lightly.
"You gotta hold on tighter than that, babe." I held on slightly tighter.
"Just go already." I complained and he followed. He sped out of the parking lot and I let out a small yelp. I was then forced to tighten my grip around him. He's too damn fast.
In a matter of minutes I was already in front of my house. I let out a deep breath as I got off his motorcycle and took of my helmet. "Thanks a lot." I handed the helmet back to him.
