purple, blue and black
colours of night;
an endless blanket
spread across infinity
with occasional white spots
or maybe light leaking out of tiny holes
and it's wonderful to picture
a planet with most of its surface covered with water
dying
a planet where apes transformed to artificial technology
destroying
realising but not applying
and it's even more terrifying
that these apes are lining up to reach another planet
just like a cunning bride
another back up plan
for whatever worthless years of their lives
