CHAPTER 5

"I can see you, you know," he said. She slowly put the menu down and meets his eyes again. "W-what are you doing here?" she asks him.

"Can't a person come to put some food in their stomach?" He asks her. "I guess you're right..." she mutters. "You guess?" he raises an eyebrow. "Okay! You're completely and absolutely right! Happy now?" she exclaims. She then looks at him, confused. "But... What are you doing in my table?" she asks, voice laced with worry and fear. "Your table? I don't see your name in here..." He says, that stupid smirk playing on his lips.

"Oh! You know what I mean!" she whisper- shouted, throwing her hands in the air. Law looked behind her to see Sanji glaring at him and pointing his index and middle finger to his eyes then to him, a gesture saying, 'I'm watching you'. He rolls his eyes and turns to the (H/c) girl in front of him. "Are you supposed to meet someone?" he asks. Her (E/c) pools widen. "You know it too?! Why does everyone know and I'm the only one who's clueless?" she mutters the last part under her breath but he hears.

Law doesn't say anything, and quietly slips a black envelope in front of her. She looks at the envelope, then at him skeptically. He makes a gesture saying 'Open it' and she does.

{YOUR POV}

Law asks me to open it and I do. Inside, there are pictures of me, near my locker, holding every gift my 'unknown friend' gave me. I flip through all of them, scared and surprised. After all the photos finish, I find a yellow piece of paper, and open it. Inside, there's a note, written in the same neat black pen. I start to read it.

Drear (Y/n),

I was happy to know that you liked my gifts and letters, but I knew you were wondering who I am. So I called you here today. Please don't be afraid, I didn't mean any harm and I hope you'll forgive me or at least not be disappointed in me for what I've done to you in the past years. I didn't realize I had feelings for you until that day at the park when you confessed to me.

I stare at the paper, shocked. Then it all made sense to me. Law hasn't been around me all the while I was getting these gifts and letters, except for today at school. I look up and see him looking at me with his eyes filled with regret and sorrow.We stare at each other until he starts to speak.

"(Y/n) –ya, please forgive me. I know what I did to you was wrong. I NEVER intended to do any of these things. What you said to me at the park really hit me hard and made me realize everything. I eavesdropped on your conversations because you wouldn't talk to me, and that was the only way I could hear your voice. I spread your secrets because that was the only thing I could talk about you. And I promise, I only told my friends, I never expected Eustass –ya to hear them and spread it. I pushed you because I craved to touch you..."

{LAW'S POV}

She starred at me, and then suddenly got up. I looked at her to see no signs of emotions on her face. I opened my mouth to ask what happened, but she ran out of the door. I get up to leave, but Black leg –ya was in front of me. "What did you do to (Y/n) –twan?" he asks me. I ignore him and try to go around him, but he blocks my way. "I said, What did you do to her?!?!" he raises his voice. My mind was clouded. She ran out. She might get hurt. I pushed Sanji –ya out of the way and ran as fast as I can. I could hear him calling me out but I ignore him and ran.

I had no idea where I was going. It had started to rain five minutes ago, and it was getting heavier. I checked her house, but her parents said that she hasn't gotten home. I checked all of her friends' houses too, but they informed me she wasn't there and hasn't even contacted them. I was exhausted from all the running, so I went to the park i bought (Y/n) –ya to. I walked and spotted the ice- cream cart and decided to get a cup of coffee to warm me up. I could barely see anything else so I blindly waved my arms around me so I don't bump into anything.
