6 am.

My alarm screams as I slowly pry my eyelids open. I roll over on my back, completely starfish-ed on my bed.

Today is the first day of classes, and everything counts. Everything I do, say act can be used for or against me when it comes to graduation. Despite the Director seeming crazy, and – I can't believe I am saying this – nice, he has an extreme graduation policy.

I begin my day by opening my curtain, the sun had risen but not completed yet. The land is covered in a fine fog, as the dew on the grass glistens with the few sun rays that reach it. I look at my schedule for the day before I head to the bathroom to take a shower.

The warm water washes over my body as I slowly begin to wake up. I get out of the shower, eventually, and begin to dry and brush my hair. I look into my wardrobe for the uniform. I didn't get a chance to look at my uniform due to the craziness of yesterday. I lay it out on my bed as I glance over the changes the Director made from last years uniform.

The skirt is the same skater girl type, coloured dark navy blue as before, with two golden stripes near the trim. The shirt I wear is a white collared with a small pen pocket, with the school crest in gold. I wear a gold and blue tie and a navy blue blazer on top with a gold outline. The crest on the heart.

Seniors get a special badge on their clothing, a small golden crest that is placed just above the crest already on the blazer.

I quickly get changed, checking myself in the mirror before I do my make-up and pack my backpack. I also pack in my sports clothing as after lunch I need to change into my sports clothing for a physical subject. A new subject was added in only this year.

My bag is all bulky, before I head out of my room, making sure I have my phone with me. I lock my door and head for the elevator, catching it before anyone else can get to it.

My phone goes off.

Ash: Morning.

I smile before texting back.

You: Morning sleepy head.

He usually texts as I get up, not as I leave.

Ash: Sorry, been busy. Lost track of time.

You: I no. I'm heading to the DH for brekkie.

Ash: I'm starving.

You: Meet me?

Ash: Have a meeting in 5.

You: I'll bring you some food. Whatever seems good.

The elevator doors open, as I step out as several gym guys step in.

"Morning."

"Morning," I say back as I walk out towards the door. It is good some people treat me like an actual person.

Ash: That would be amazing. I'll meet you in front of the locker room at 8ish

You: See you soon. Bye <3

Ash: <3

After walking and texting for a few minutes, I find myself right in front of the dining hall. Since most of the schools got fixed or renovated since the war, I am still finding it a little tricky to find most places, but luckily the dining hall stands separate from the main building.

It is gotten a lot bigger and since it is in the open field, people can eat outside in peace, but still, most choose to eat inside.

I step in to see the place packed. Looks like the new students trying out the food.
