Much of her childhood time , Kaia spend by reading and believing that fairy tale or myth , do exist somewhere. She believed in Santa, the old fat man who lived in pole , wearing the bright red coat with fur in each side of his cuff and hem. She also believed in werewolves , vampire , krampus and even Ariel the little mermaid. She even once become her favorite character , after Cinderella , Snow White etc. But as she got older , step by step leaving her childhood life. Logic , become her priority in every ways of how she's thinking.

A fat old man couldn't ride flying reindeers , giving gifts to the kids around the world in just one night , his body wouldn't even fit to a chimney !. Therefore Santa never existed. No human become a Wolf in the full moon , however one might become a hypothetical wolf , judging how people almost acted like a beast during the time.

Therefore no such thing , any other things ..did exist. Including mermaid ..yet here she is , sitting on the little hut giving her full attention to the sleeping mermaid. She thought this is a dream , or maybe this mermaid is just wearing costume ? But the sleeping figure felt so real. Kaia still doesn't know , this mermaid alive or not. It's been hours , and Kaia still couldn't figure out the color of the eyes.

"Should I check on her ?".She thought about opening the mermaid's eyes , like doctor usually do to check on the pupil. But Kaia , doesn't know any medical thing nor how to take care  a fainting person. If a mermaid could count as a person.

She then remembered someone."Of course ! Jane !".Maybe she doesn't know anything about medic but hey her coworker was a soon to be doctor. Why she just thought about her now ?."Halo ? Jane ?".She spoke to the phone , there's some static sounds in the other line from the rain,before the other girl speak up. Maybe it's risky to ask Jane and revealing the existence of this mermaid. But Kaia knew Jane could keep a secret , they know each other , they ever shared each other secret , they roasted Ms.Yamaguchi together, behind her back of course and Kaia feel that Jane is a trustful person.

"Dang Kaia , Don't ya know what time 's it ?".Her southern accent always come out whenever she felt anxious or mad.

"12 pm ? I'm sorry Jane ! But I need your help right now."

"You better have a good reason of why I should help you.".She yawned."What ?"

"Can you go to my hut ? I.. There's someone unconscious here..".Kaia bit her lips glancing to the sleeping mermaid.

"Someone unconscious ? Why don't ya bring 'em to the hospital ?"

Kaia's breath taken in desperate, she started to pace on the place back and forth, while her free hand making a pressure sign everytime she spoke."I can't Jane ! It's too .. Complicated ! Come on , just go to here ! And help me ! You're a soon to be doctor right ?"

"Yessss..". There's a cocky tone there."But , wait a minute. Ya didn't kill someone , Did ya ?"

"No Jane ! I didn't kill someone , she just ..I found her on the beach !"

"Her ? It's a woman ? ".Kaia could imagine a smirk there.

"Yes ! She is a woman ! Now please come here , and bring your doctor kits !"

"But this is fuckin' rain Emmons !"

"Jane I swear if you don't come here right now , I'll tell Ms.Yamaguchi that you're the one who broke one of her Frenchie crystal collection ! You know how she fancy those things so much ?".Kaia smirked maybe it's bad to threaten , but what else she have to do. There's an unconscious mermaid in her hut and Kaia couldn't do anything.
