Thought Process

Todoroki began his trek to classroom 1-A, mind clouded with Midoriya. It had been over two weeks since he had officially gone missing, (though the police were only able to calculate that with Todoroki's help.)

A feeling of dread had steadily grown in the pit of his stomach since Aizawa had spoken to him after class. And Todoroki didn't enjoy the feeling at all.

His imagination had run wild with thoughts of what could be happening to Midoriya, as he assumed was the case with everyone else the aspiring hero had befriended. But what plagued him the most was why no updates had been given to the class. He could certainly understand why they'd keep details from them, but surely Aizawa of all people would understand how stir-crazy the class would be? It was thoughts like this that led Todoroki to think that there was little to no information to give.

Walking into the classroom, Todoroki could feel an almost overwhelming sense of loss settled over the room. Sero wasn't smiling, Mineta had yet to even look at one of the girls, and Uraraka's normally bubbly personality was all but gone. The only student acting even remotely normal was Bakugou, unsurprisingly.

Making his way to his desk, Todoroki tried, and failed, to keep the near constant worry at bay. None of the others even attempted to speak to him, a true testament to the depressing aura.

It was several minutes before Aizawa arrived. He was wearing his normal attire, though his eyes seemed more bloodshot and tired than normal.

"Alright," he started, "despite Midoriya's disappearance, class will continue as normal. As some of you know, part of your education here at UA is interning with professionals. Your performance at the Sport's Festival determined the amount of offers you received. But, before any of you can officially intern, you will need hero names. You should take these seriously, as the name you think of now could... stick." Aizawa cringed, why, Todoroki didn't know.

The next hour was filled with students being forced to pick their temporary hero names, being judged by Midnight.

To put it simply; it was brutal.

Some names were relatively straightforward, Tsuyu's "Froppy" came to mind. Other ones were almost painful to witness, (Lord Explosion Murder being the worst by far.)

As the day passed, Todoroki's mind continued to be plagued with thoughts of Midoriya's disappearance. There were too many possibilities. It was clear that someone noticed Midoriya's closeness with All Might, but there were still too many variables. It was televised, after all. And, with so many watching, it was unlikely that no one noticed the similar quirks and fighting styles.

It could be a bit of a reach, but the most likely candidates were the League of Villains. Not only did they show an obvious hatred for All Might, and had enough courage to attack UA directly, but they also showed a cruelty that would allow them to go so far as to kidnap such a bright, optimistic student.

Among these thoughts, one overall feeling bled throughout his thoughts; concern. Todoroki found himself hoping, almost praying, that the pros would rescue Midoriya soon.

Izuku was panting, sweat dripping down his face as he attempted to regain his breath while laying sprawled on the ground. He'd never felt so alive. At UA none of the students were allowed to let loose, not really. It was frowned upon to destroy the surrounding area, after all. Training with the League, though, was an entirely different story. While they kept from killing him, it was obvious they weren't holding back.

"Midoriya, can you stand?" Came the voice of Kurogiri from the sidelines. That was the one of two rules when training; they would stop when one of them could no longer stand, (the other being not to kill anyone, obviously.) Currently, Midoriya was training with another new recruit, Dabi.

"Yeah!" He shouted, quickly getting to his feet. He was far from done. In the near three weeks he'd been training, Midoriya had progressed far more than he ever did training at UA. Now, rather than constantly breaking his bones in an attempt to use his quirk, he could easily spread the power throughout his body. Far more useful, in his humble opinion.

By the time the two had finished training for the day, both were dripping sweat, though Midoriya was the only one left gasping for air on the ground. Dabi left the training area without a word, unsurprisingly. He'd barely spoken a word since joining. Midoriya, however, was having more trouble. While he had been improving, he was still a novice fighter at best. That meant that his sparring matches usually ended with him struggling to stand, at least, until Kurogiri took pity on him and warped him to the bar for food. Such things happened once again.

Upon landing directly next to a bar stool, Midoriya used it to drag himself up. The black mist of a person walked in, though not alone. An obviously agitated Shigaraki walked next to him, scratching away at his neck.

"Why is he getting all the attention?" He hissed. "We attacked the school, even-"

"Shigaraki." Kurogiri cut him off, an almost warning tone coloring his voice. Midoriya, however, could really not care any less about what they were talking about. All he wanted was something to eat, and then to pass out for the next several hours.

"No, Master is right. The Nomus will be here tomorrow, then I'll take care of the Stain." Shigaraki then turned to the exhausted Midoriya. "Kid, what do you think of putting some of that training to use?"

Midoriya smiled at the question, so wide it could put the phrase "from ear to ear" to shame.

   This would be fun.

A/n: First and foremost, thank you so much for reading this chapter! Please leave a comment telling me what you think; I really love reading them!

Also, I wanted to clear something up; in this chapter Todoroki's POV is before the internships, while Midoriya's is just after the internships began. I just wanted to make sure that was clear!
