Todoroki sat at his desk, almost desperate in his attempts to keep from fidgeting. Nearly a week had passed since he spoke to All Might, and nothing had been done. Nothing. Todoroki prided himself on being almost entirely in control of his emotions, but the very thought of the lack of action nearly set off his already barely controlled flames.

At the hospital, All Might hadn't been entirely shocked by his words, but hearing that Midoriya had not only been in Hosu, but had even presented himself and threatened the life of a pro hero had shaken the number one hero to the core, (though he attempted to hide it.)

What bothered Todoroki most, however, had little to do with the hero, or even with his own infuriation. It was how Midoriya acted; how he'd spoken. It was different; it was wrong. While serious during battle, his classmate had always had an air of optimism surrounding him. In Hosu, however, not only had Todoroki sensed an unfamiliar and dangerous edge, but, what worried him the most was the almost... psychotic air about him. Todoroki had refused to allow himself to think on this previously, instead occupying his time with communicating information to All Might. Now however-

"Are you okay Todoroki?" He internally started at the sudden words, looking up to see Uraraka and Iida standing in front of his desk, the former looking concerned. Why, though, he'd never understand.

"I'm fine," was his short response, looking away from the two, trying (and failing) at getting them to leave.

"Iida told me what happened in Hosu, and what you told All Might." His head snapped up at the words, immediately glaring at Iida.

"I am sorry, Todoroki. I felt it only right that Uraraka should know, given their closeness." Iida spoke, his arms uncharacteristically at his sides. "I realize now that I should have consulted you before revealing such information."

"No, Iida. It's fine," he waved him off, hoping they would leave him to his thoughts. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to be in the cards.

"Hey, Half 'n half," came the voice of who was likely the last person he'd want to talk to, particularly in his current state of mind. "I gotta talk to you."

"C'mon Bakugou," immediately followed Kirishima's voice. Todoroki, however, just sighed, feeling a headache coming on. Though, that always seemed to happen when interacting with the explosive boy.

"What?" he asked, not particularly caring how rude he sounded.

"Heard you knew something 'bout Deku." If Todoroki didn't know better, he'd say that Bakugou sounded worried about Midoriya.

   "And?"

"What the fuck do you know?" He spat, much to the horror of Iida.

"Language, Bakugou! We are in a place of learning!" He shouted, chopping away at the air as always. Todoroki, though ignored him in favor of evaluating Bakugou's "request." Should he tell him? Bakugou wasn't ignorant, despite his outward appearance. Surely he'd already come to the same conclusion he had about who Midoriya's captors were? Even so, what purpose would telling Bakugou about Hosu serve? Nothing, was the conclusion he came to.

"I don't know what you are talking about." He spoke flatly, not particularly caring when Bakugou's entire demeanor changed from only mildly irritated to downright furious.

"Don't fucking lie to me Half n' half! Somethin-"

"C'mon Bakugou, the rumors must've been wrong, man." Kirishima interrupted gently, only receiving an inarticulate "che" in response.

Any further arguments were cut off by Aizawa sliding open the door.

Once again, Midoriya found himself all but exhausted, feeling the thrill of the fight beginning to wear off. Only, this time, rather than burns and bruises littering his body, cuts also marred his skin from the intense training. Since returning from Hosu, he'd begun weapons training, beginning with knives. Every day he would battle another nameless person, never really bothering to pay attention to who it was he was up against. Or at least, only paying attention to weak spots in their attacks and defense. It was addictive, discovering someone's weakness, using it against them in full. Perhaps next time he interacted with Endeavor's son, he could discover his weakness.

The thought brought a frown to his face. In the time since Hosu, every time he thought of the UA student, something just felt wrong. There was no other way Izuku could think of to describe the feeling. Empty? Missing, perhaps? He wasn't sure.

Despite his confusion, he never spoke a word of his inner turmoil to anyone else. Though he would never be able to say why, exactly; but Midoriya just simply knew he couldn't.

One thing he was certain of; he would see Endeavor's son again. And he would get answers.

A/n: Okay, tad boring chapter, but I swear things will get more exciting! Gotta set stuff up, y'know?
