Absolutely! No single reason listed in this book was the deciding factor for my deconversion; it was all of them combined. Don't feel bad or any less of a Christian if you agree with me. (However, if you find yourself agreeing with everything I've said, we should talk — you could be close to a deconversion.)
. . . I am a member or an ally of the LGBTQ+ community?
Of course! I was an LGBTQ+ ally for most of my years as a Christian, and later realized that I'm queer. Your sexuality does not make you any less of a Christian. (See my first book, Christian and an Ally, for more details.)
. . . I don't believe that the Bible is inerrant?
Absolutely! I was a Christian for 18+ years of my life, and I never believed in biblical inerrancy. It is not a requirement.
. . . I believe in evolution and/or the Big Bang?
Yup! Just look at the thousands of biologists, chemists, physicists, astronomers, and other scientists around the world who are Christian or believe in God. You can like, trust, and "believe in" science while still being a Christian.
