Masky

"Masky? What's your real name?" Toby asked me. He looked at me sleepily. It was only 11:05. He's such a child sometimes...
     "My name?" I asked confused.
"Yeah, you know my name." He said.
     "And?"
"And, I think it's only fair I know yours. Is Tim just a name you came up with?" Toby cocked his head to the side in confusion. I shook my head and looked at him.
"No. Tim is my real name." I said with a calm expression as I turned my head to the clock. 11:06. "We should probably get to bed. We have a long day tomorrow." I sigh and get in the bed sheets.
"No! I wanna stay up till it's eleven, eleven." Toby said, still a bit dazed.
"Huh? Why?" I asked confused. Why at that time? It's so random.
"Just because, I'll explain why after the time passes." He looks down at the bed sheets, then to me.
"Okay then. After that we are going to bed, we need as much rest as possible." I sighed and waited. Once it hit eleven, eleven, I looked over at Toby. He was doing some sort of praying position. I didn't know he was religious or anything, but honestly... what does that time have to do with anything religious period? "Rogers... what are you doing?" I asked with confusion laced in my voice.
"Making a wish." He said with a daydreamy tone. He sounded as if he wasn't breathing. I don't even think he was. I merely just waited till it was 11:12.
I spoke up again and asked, "Why did you want to stay up for eleven, eleven?" Toby  I looked at me with a bright smile as he breathed out. Turns out he was holding his breath that whole minute.
"Because, I wanted to make a wish." He said, he still sounded dazed.
    "A wish?"
"Yeah, at 11:11pm you make a wish by holding your breath and saying in your head what you wish for. It's said that if you manage to hold your breath the whole time, the wish you ask for, WILL come true."
"I've never heard of such a legend." I looked down at the bed sheets, then to Toby who lied down and was already almost asleep. "What did you wish for?"
"That's a secret... Tim..." And just like that, he drifted off to sleep.

Toby

I woke up in bed next to Masky. He was snoring softly with his mask still on. I don't know what his real face looks like, I can only guess it looks like his human form's face. He's only seen my human form face so why not yolo it and see his true one? I then decided to reach out and grab the mask.
My hand touched the ivory mask, it was smooth and felt nice on my skin. I slowly pulled the mask off and took a glance at Masky without his signature item. I felt my face flush slightly from the sight. He was honestly good looking. His face was looked a bit stressed and honestly uncomfortable. Was he having a bad dream?
I set the mask down on the dresser and lied there staring at him. Why does he wear a mask in the first place? That's what I wanted to know. His chiseled features look perfect as it is. Then you take off the mask and boom, you got a model right here.
I continued to stare at my partner. His face looks like his human forms, but a lot younger. I then decided I was being creepy and turned on my side to look at the window. The sunlight breached my iris and my pupils began to dilate from the sudden flash of light. The daylight looked brilliant but eerie, it was a cloudy day today. Nothing super happy, but nothing super gloomy. It had that feeling of bittersweet welcoming to me. I don't know how to describe a cloudy day like this. It looked nice, but I suppose a bit weird.
I then felt a shift in the bed and looked over at Masky, who was looking at me with the most beautiful crystal blue eyes I have ever seen. They were big and looked as if they sparkled. I felt my cheeks heat up as a small tint of carnation flushed on my face.
"You're awake." I said with a soft voice.
"Yeah... why is my mask off?"  Masky asked a bit groggily.
"U-um," I had to think of something quickly, "you must've taken it off when you went to bed."
   "No, I had it on."
"Well... when I woke up, it wasn't on your face."
"Okay then? I suppose I took it off in my sleep."
"Yeah, probably, what else could've done this?" I said, sweat rolling down my guilty face.
"You okay Toby?" Masky asked, his blue eyes filled with worry,
   "I-I'm fine!" I quickly reacted.

Masky

After whatever just happened in the morning I decided to go into the kitchen and make up something, though I am not the best cook, I still like to try it. I began making waffles, since... why not? I craved waffles...don't judge me. Anyway. I began cooking homemade waffles that Silver taught me how to make. For someone with no arms or legs, he's a really good cook. No wonder why he was allowed to travel alone at age ten.
I just continued to cook until I felt something being pressed on my face.
"Here. You still didn't put on your mask." Toby said shoving the mask onto my face.
"Toby, it's fine. You already saw my face now." I said with a sigh.
"Why do you hide behind that mask anyway?"

"Because... this mask holds a ton of memories... including Alex." I looked down and removed my face from the contact with the ivory mask.
   "Who's... Alex?"
"What I thought was a friend... but really a mad man."
   "What did he do?"
"He killed everyone... and pinned the blame on me." My hands continued to be soaked in the water that was streaming from the faucet of the kitchen sink. It's screeches made it a bit harder to hear Toby. His voice was softening every second we continued this conversation.
   "Who is... 'everyone'?"
"Jay, Brian, Seth, Amy... they are all gone... because of Alex. I'm the single survivor." I then noticed my fingers were getting pruny. I took them out of the water and turned off the sink. I looked at the wrinkly and wet skin then back at Toby.
"If it makes you feel better... my wish from yesterday... had something to do with you."
"How should that make me feel better?"
"It should, Because it was a wish about your well being. I hope you feel better about this. I'm sorry for being so pressing about your life story." Toby looked down, ashamed of himself... for some reason.
"Why are you sorry? You were merely curious about me. Not much know this, because not much care to listen or ask." I said with a smile.
"Heh. You really are something Tim."
