After everyone was changed, the group of six went off of the rooftop, and to the front part of the campus.
The wind had died down a bit, but it was still a little windy. But it didn't matter because she had Makoto's blue shirt on, and it felt warm.
Kaito turned a bit to see the cherry blossom trees, the same ones she could see from the rooftop. They swayed in the wind, as if dancing.
They were so close, yet so far. She walked closer towards a tree, and stared at the flowers of pink. If she was just a little taller, she could pick one from the lowest branch. She was embarrassed to try it, but she did it anyway.
Kaito got on her tippy-toes, and tried jumping a couple times, but she knew already, she couldn't reach the branch.
Makoto was watching her the whole time, attempting to reach for the lowest branch. She kept staring at it, as if waiting for it to come down, which he knew it wouldn't. He couldn't stand her being sad, for some reason. So, he did the only thing he could thing of right now.
Makoto took a running start, and stopped next to Kaito. She hadn't paid any attention to Makoto since he got there. Her eyes were only focused on the lowest branch of the cherry blossom tree. Makoto's eyes diverted to the lowest branch, and he got on his tippy-toes, and pulled the branch down a little lower, just enough for him to stand flat on his feet. Kaito got out of her trance as she saw Makoto pick a cherry blossom, and hand it to her.
"Here you go.", Makoto said, his voice light and sweet.
Kaito took the cherry blossom from his hands, and she had realized how small her hands were compared to Makoto's hands. Her fingers gently scraped his skin while taking the flower from his hands, which were in fact, very smooth.
Kaito blushed as pink as the cherry blossom, and thanked Makoto.
"Thank you, again, Makoto.", she said, just as lightly and sweet as his voice had been.
Makoto smiled at her, and Kaito smiled at Makoto.
"Aww~!! So cute!", two voices said in harmony together.
Kaito and Makoto jumped a little, scared by the sudden noise. They found out the voices came from Nagisa and Gou, which wasn't a surprise.
Kaito and Makoto blushed.
Rei was going to contain Nagisa and Gou, but he just had to let them go. There was no denying it: Makoto and Kaito liked each other, and they made a good couple. He gave a smile their way.
Haru had watched everything that happened. He felt a throbbing pain
in his heart, but he didn't know what it was. He had never felt it before, but all he knew was that he didn't like it. He gripped his blue-striped shirt, right where his heart was.
He felt.. sad.
He stared at Makoto, hoping that he would turn his way and would read his mind like he always did, so that he didn't have to tell him out loud. Makoto finally caught a glimpse of Haru's face, but only a glimpse, since Haru had turned away from him, embarrassed.
He started to grow worried. Haru's eyes were a deep blue color now. And his eyes didn't twinkle as much. And he was gripping his shirt right where his heart would be. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. He never acted like this before, so it was something new Makoto had never seen before. Makoto grew more worried.
"...Haru...", Makoto whispered.
What was wrong with Haru?
