A/N:

Before I began, I just want to make things clear as to how I will continue this story. I love this story idea, I feel like I can make the story updates much nicer if I take some time. The updates will be slow, once or twice every month so please bear with me.

Enjoy!!

Anastasia POV:

"Don't forget your handbag darling!" Mom shouts out from the kitchen. I am always tired, my eyes are filled with sleepiness yet I have to scramble through finishing my packing. Waking up at four in the morning is not an easy task, lord, I could lay on my soft bed for hours if it weren't for catching my early morning flight to New York.

"Make sure that you have your passport and boarding pass in your purse honey," mom says as I enter the kitchen. I sigh, honestly.

"Mom, you are not supposed to be awake at this moment. Go to sleep, otherwise I will personally make a phone call to the doctor, do you want that?" I cross my hands authoritatively. Mom is still in her silky night robe and her eyes look dewy, obviously lacking sleep. Mom shows tiredness day by day, but her recovery is going really well. Sometimes, I have to wake up during midnights to check up on my mom.

"Honey, you will no longer worry about me okay? You have your own responsibility, your child. I want you to look after yourself and my grandchild, now do you understand?" Mom caresses my face with her slender fingers. I close my eyes and savour her touch, the touch which comforts me back to sleep.

Tears swell around my eyes as I stare at my mother, the only person who is close to me. I wrap my arms around her as tightly as possible, not wanting to let her go.

"M-mom, t-take care," I whisper in her ear and feel her wet tears in my right ear.

.....

" Please follow the safety instructions if any emergency arises. Fasten your seatbelts for take off, the weather seems clear and there will be no delays for our landing in Newark Airport. Have a safe flight, ladies and gentlemen."

I sigh and close my eyes, the man sitting beside me also turns his cellphone off and fastens his seatbelt. His blonde hair makes him look quite attractive. He turns his head and notices me, I quickly look outside my window. I normally hate these awkward interactions with people, especially now that I can feel his eyes boring in my face.

"You going to NewYork?" His deep voice captures my attention. I look up at him and notice his ocean blue eyes. Deep down, I am disappointed that they are not grey. The only pair of eyes which haunts my body and soul.

"Yes, I am going to NewYork, yourself?" I ask

"Yes, NewYork is my hometown. I was visiting my friend actually, I am his best man and he needed some help with preparations." He says animatedly, brief smile reaches his face and I can already see his bare dimples around his mouth. He is devilishly attractive, noticing his tattooed arms makes him look even more powerful. His muscles are bulging through his short sleeved polo shirt. He extends his hand and I quickly take it and shake it. His grip is soft, not firm enough like Christian's.

"I am Marcus Valentino, you are?"

"A-Anastasia Steele," I finally find my voice.

He lets go of my hand and smiles at me. I smile back and all my worries and nervousness fade away.

"So, why are you going to NewYork? Do you live there?" Marcus asks me.

"No, I am actually from Savannah Georgia. I am moving to NewYork because of a job opportunity." I say hesitantly, not wanting to give away all my information.

"Wow, that's amazing. So what is your occupation?" He inquires,

"I actually have a degree in English Literature, but it is difficult to find a job suitable for my degree. I will work as a waitress for now but eventually find something which I like to do. What about you?"

He smiles and his dimples appear again, I shake my head because there is only one man who can make me swoon. "Well, I am an insurance lawyer and work in a law firm. Our headquarters are located in NewYork and that's where I work." He says proudly, "don't worry about your situation, I might have contacts in some publishing houses. I do have a few clients from top publishing houses, I might be able to pass on a word about you." He smiles sincerely and for a brief second, I feel weak under his hypnotizing gaze.

I smile and look ahead but his eyes still remain in my face. Our proximity becomes closer as he leans forward and whispers in my ear,

"Welcome to NewYork, Anastasia."

Yes, welcome indeed. I am already thinking of new possibilities, perhaps meeting with Marcus was just my beginning maybe there is more to come. As long as I can stop those grey eyes haunting my soul, I can continue living my life in peace.

So, what do y'all think about Marcus Valentino? Will he be enough to make Christian jealous?
