He moved back as his eyes lit with anger. I pulled my rod away from him. "You really are psychotic," I breathed. The twin vampires behind me hiss warningly. Cassio simply put his hand up to silence them.

"And what would make you think that?" he let out a tight laugh as his lips crawled in to a tight smile

"By life is not worth millions," I spit at him

"No, but an inside job would help," he smiles again as the anger flickers in his eyes. What is wrong with this man?

"And how would you convince me to do that?" I question with my own anger bubbling in me

"Persuasion of the brain, bella," he drags out in his thick italian accent

"Not happening," I tighten my grip on the rod, he sighs. Turning around slowly.

"I thought as much, Mike, Luca," he breathes with a bored expression taking his features, he walks over to them casually.

I quickly avert my eyes away from him to dodge a blow from one of the vampires. "Micheal, Sage. I know you're here, could use some help right now!" I yell out in to the dark alley

Casio's turns sharply and his eyes widen "I thought we agreed no backup," he says surprised "I didn't think you were that stupid," he narrows his eyes at me as I stare back with a hard look.

Fog started to cover the concrete floor of the alley way as the other twin jumped at me. I move out of the way and smack him in the back with my rod. I look to my left and the three vampires follow my gaze.

Sage and Michael appear out of the darkness. Sage's eyes glow a bright green as she holds her hands out. Green sparks flicker between her fingers. The fog wrapping around their feet as they walk over to where Cassio and I are.

"Witch," Cassio's voice is full of hatred as he speaks

"Bitch," Sage replies with venoms laced in to her words. He hisses at her as sage and Michael walk over to my side.

Cassios eyes glow with the deep, red of murder. His two vampires loom on either side of him.

"Well Elizabeth, I was really hoping it wouldn't come down to a fight. You have such a beautiful face and I don't wish to tear it apart." He snarls

"If only I could say the same," as I finish my sentence one of the vampire twins jump at Michael. Stepping out of the vampires way, he whips out a gun and shoots him in the side. The vampire stumbles back and clutches his side, groaning lowly in pain.

Sage's fingers twitch as the fog around us thickens, it swirls around the gloomy alley accends  in to the sky.

The other vampire jumps at her, before he is able to reach her the green sparks dancing around her fingers shoot out and electrify him. He yells loudly, falling to the ground

I turn back to Cassio as his eyes shine with anger. I grip my rod as he runs towards me, I move to the side aiming to hit him in the head.

His hand catches the rod, he stands directly in front of me, deadly red eyes staring in to my own. His hand begins to simmer and smoke as he tightens his grip around the silver rod.

"You've made a horrible mistake, Bella," he breathes harshly at me. His fangs glint tauntingly in the dim light

"I beg to differ," I laugh humourlessly back. He scowls, grabbing me by arm he throws me to the side of the ally.

I slid across the floor and roughly hit the wall with my back. "Bitch," I whisper as I jump back up ignoring the slight pain. He drops my rod to the floor and begins to walk towards me, my hand clasps around the handle of my gun.

"This could've been so much easier, Elizabeth." Darkness parades in his eyes "But you humans are too incompetent to understand," he laughs meekly

I bring out my gun and shoot at him, his shoulder moves just in time for the bullet to fly past him. He appears before me and grabs me by the throat, pushing me up against the wall. I grab his wrist as he hits the gun from my hand.

"And I think the funniest thing is," he starts again with a smile "You think you can win," he laughs. I feel his fingers tighten around my neck as I scowl at him. My lungs burn slightly as I try to breathe. Grabbing a knife from my hostler I stab it in to his stomach and twist it. He jumps back, dropping me. I take a deep breath and cough.

Can't win, my fucking ass.

He looks up at me with fury as he begins to pull the knife slowly from his stomach. Blue smoke seeps from the wound. He winces slightly as he finally yanks the rest of the knife out and throws it to the ground. I pull out another knife. "We'll see about that," I smile

He jumps at me and I move to the side and slice his arm. The blue smoke again begins to bleed with his blood. He wraps his hand around the cut and hisses.

"Oh I'm sorry," I pout "I wasn't aware you were allergic to pure silver, my bad," I continue he goes to jump at me again when Sage jumps in front of me.

The green sparks jumping in her hands fly out and smash in to his chest. He flies back and smashes in to the opposite wall of the alley, debris flying everywhere as his body makes a hole. He gets up with the front of his suit smoking "try and Hurt her again mate, I dare you," she spits at him, Michael runs up to my side and nods at me. I smile at him back

"Dare accepted," he smirks. We cover out ears as he lets out a Deafening hissing noise that echo on the walls.

"What the fuck was that," Michael whisper as he takes his hands away from his ears. Sage and I lock eyes

"He's calling for backup," we say at the same time

Shadows appear out of no where, swiftly appearing all around the alley. I look back to the opening of the alley to see 4 vampires already waiting there for us. They seem to crawl from the dark like roaches. Looking up I see them looking over the sides of the roofs, peering down at us. All around us red eyes pierce the night as Casio laughs. I pick up my silver rod and stand in front of Sage and Michael protectively.

"I believe you are slightly out numbered," he raises his arms in gesture to his vampire 'friends'

"Skill wise, I doubt it," Sage responds scowling deeply. Michael looks over to me with a hard look on his face but I sense the worry behind his eyes. I turn back to Casio and lock eyes, a smirk still plays as his lips.

A grab a smooth, cool ball from my waistband and look over to Sage. She catches my eye and I nod at her. I smash the ball on to the ground as Sage grabs myself and Michael, smoke explodes from the sphere, I catch Casio's eyes one last time before Sage teleports us. But something didn't set well with me when I caught Casio's eyes.

He was still smiling.
