A small girl with dark hair sat on a hospital check-up bed.

The big man in front of her. He wore a white coat and his hair was bushy. He handed her parents a box containing pills. "Refill the box every week with her prescription. She has to take all the pills for that particular day right when she wakes up and after lunch. They will maintain any disoriented speech and boost her speech, motivation, and regularize her behavior."

'And make her drowsy,' Riya herself added mentally. 'And potentially cause seizures.'

"And what about these claims she has? Of her supposed abilities?" Maryann asked.

"Well, that's called a Delusion of Grandeur. However, you said your aunt instituted them?" the doctor asked Franklin.

Franklin nodded.

"Then it is important to limit their contact."

"No!" the 13-year-old cried.

They all turned to her.

The doctor got down to her level. "Finally decided to talk, have we?"

With a fist inside her other hand, Riya covered her mouth. She didn't speak for the rest of the day.
