-Neymar-

One. Two. Three. Four. How many shots have there been? I’ve lost count, drowning myself in self-pity and despair as I continuously tipped my head back, taking one shot after another. I don’t think I even remembered my own name.

“Here you go, man,” the guy behind the counters said and passed me an already uncapped bottle of Jack Daniel’s like an alcoholic who haven’t drank in years and tipped the glass bottle backwards and gulped a large sip. The alcoholic substance stung my throat, reminding me that I hadn’t been drinking for so long.

“To myself,” I slurred as I held the bottle high. No one looked at me. I’m sure they get tons of crazy customers like me—heartbroken and lost. I hiccupped while screaming, “That I may finally move on from that disastrous woman!”

“Hard breakup?” the bartender guessed. I shook my head, a bitter smile on my face.

“No,” I said, “worse.” The bartender nodded in understanding before he went to prepare a cocktail for the person who sat on the other side of the bar.

Just as I was about to take another swig from the beer bottle, someone rushed up to me.

“Oh my God, Neymar,” I turned around only to see Gabriela, a panicked look on her face. I held up my hand, signaling the peace sign with my index and middle finger. Gabriela engulfed me in a big hug. I sniffed in her light perfume. “I was so worried! Please don’t run off like that again.”

“I-it’s,” I hiccupped before continuing, giggling like an idiot, “ironic, because I-I’m supposed to look after you and not you after me. But it’s okay, ‘cos I’m, hah, drunk!” I laughed. Gabriela gave me a concerned look before she turned to the bartender.

“How much had he drunk?” She asked nervously. The bartender shrugged.

“Around 8 tequila shots, I guess. And a Jack Daniels.” He pointed to the bottle in my hand. Gabriela gave me a look before grabbing the bottle out of my hand, placing it back on the counter.

“We are getting you back home, young man,” Gabriela said, placing her arms on her hips. I grinned at her cheekily.

“You know, you look really sexy trying to be a-angry at me,” I said, smiling like a Cheshire cat when her cheeks turned tomato red and her hands fell limp to her sides.

“T-that,” she stammered to find a word, “is beside the point!” I pouted. Her blue eyes softened. “Oh, come on, Ney,” She gently said and held out her hand. I slipped my hand into her small ones and I felt the familiar tingle which happened every time she touched me. “Let’s go home.”

“But these guys have been my friend,” I pointed at the empty shots and the beer bottle.

“And I’m your friend too,” Gabriela said, her eyes staring into mine. I gave in and let her haul me out of the bar and into a cab. Both of us slid into the backseat.

After Gabri told him the address, she looked at me. “Okay?” She asked softly. I nodded before I laid my head down on her lap, suddenly feeling groggy. She shifted until she felt comfortable. She put her arm on my hair, running her soft fingers through them, untangling my uncombed hair.

“God, you’re so beautiful,” I heard her whisper gently, but I guess it wasn’t directed to me.

“Just-just one more step,” heaved Gabriela as she practically dragged me up the stairs. I grunted and lifted one foot up the last step and then pulled my other foot up. Gabriela sighed in relief. “Good. I thought I was about to die.”

I placed my hand on her cheek as I pouted, “don’t die, Gabby. How can I live without you?” Gabriela blushed fervently before she gave me a shy smile.

“Come on now. Let’s get you to bed.” She said before I placed my arm around her shoulder to let her guide me. She led me to my room and then opened the door, pushing my body in, flickering the light on. “Change your shirt, please. It reeks of beer.”

I looked at her. “Help me?” I said innocently. Gabriela looked at me, wide-eyed. “I’m afraid my fingers are numbed from the alcohol so can you help me change?”

She looked at her pout on my face and sighed. “Fine,” She said before she began unbuttoning my shirt, from the top. I groaned as she accidentally brushed her fingers against my V-line while taking it off. “You’re a tease,” I mumbled. Gabriela flushed.

“S-sorry,” She squeaked before tossing my shirt to the pile that had accumulated beside the closet. “Now, get to bed.” She helped me into the covers and draped the blankets over me. She leaned down to kiss my forehead. “Go to sleep, Ney,” She whispered and turned, about to go. I clasped my hand on her wrist.

“Please,” I breathed out. “Don’t go. S-stay with me, tonight.”

Gabriela looked at me before she slid into the covers, with me.

-Gabriela-

What made me stay?

His hair. His eyes. His lips.

Him.

His eyes were vulnerable, and I felt, for once, that he really needed me there. And his lips… so kissable.

I slid into the covers with him and I felt his steady heartbeat against mine, and his abs…

Suddenly, he wrapped his arms around my waist and I gasped in surprise. “W-what are you doing, Ney?” I asked.

He opened his eyes and looked at me. His light brown eyes suddenly seemed to grow darker.

“Have I,” His voice was husky. “Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?” he stared into my eyes. The air left my lungs as he leaned in towards me. As one of his hands slid up into my shirt, drawing patterns on my stomach, my eyes fluttered close. I could feel his breath against mine, and I didn’t care about how he reeked of alcohol.

“N-Neymar,” I whispered as he leaned down to kiss my neck. I gasped as my back arched forward. He gently gave me butterfly kisses down my neck, to my shoulders. He flipped us over so he hovered on top of me.

“God, you look so beautiful,” Neymar said as he gave me a kiss on my jaw. “So teasing,” he kissed my eyebrows. Before he looked into my eyes, and leaned down.

“So lovable.” He breathed out and then he kissed me, full, on the lips.

And the rest of the night was… self-explanatory.
