The plane ride to Baronial Island was quick. The morning of the long-awaited meeting with Winston Deavor was filled with kisses and bear hugs from Bob and Helen. Suitcases in hand, Dash and Violet had arrived at the nearest airport, got on board, and after five hours of flying, they had arrived at the isolated island.

"Wow..." Dash exclaims as he and his sister step off the plane and onto the sandy pier. "This place is... just, wow!" Dash was expecting the island to look like a typical tropical island, with palm trees and small, wooden homes. Instead, Baronial Island was teeming with tall, silver skyscrapers and technological machines, like autonomous cars. In fact, right in front of the siblings was a slick, black self-driving car with their names on it.

"Hop in!" the car says in its robotic voice.

"This is amazing," Dash whispers as his sister crawls into the back seats. Dash immediately hops into the front seat, leg jumping up and down from excitement.

"Please put on your seatbelts," the cars orders. "Destination is only eight minutes away." After Violet and Dash put on their seatbelts, the car zooms away from the pier and toward what seemed like the tallest skyscraper on the whole island.

"Welcome to Baronial Island," Winston Deavor proclaims, his voice loud and brazen in the echoey conference room. All of the supers had arrived, just as Jess had assured him for the past couple of days. Seeing their names in a manila folder was one thing, but seeing the powerful teens in person was a whole different experience.

"We are so pleased to see that everyone has arrived this afternoon," Jess adds.

"As you may know, this is an opportunity of a lifetime. And thousands of teens and even adults are jealous of the individuals sitting in this room right now," Winston explains. Thinking hard, Dash tries to remember if anyone he had spoken to last week seemed jealous of him. This was a hard task since Dash and Violet were homeschooled since moving into a house that was basically off the grid. Since the incident with Screenslaver, the Parrs tried to keep a low profile, especially in the location of their home.

But as Dash looks around, he notices that a couple of the supers at the other side of the table nod vigorously. Did the whole world now know about the competition? As if reading his mind, Winston clicks a button on his remote, and a huge TV emerges from the ceiling. It turns on and immediately goes to the news channel. A news reporter stands in the middle of a busy street in Times Square, New York City. A huge crowd of people surrounds her, craning their necks to watch the big screen. Winston's pixelated, sparkly grin warmly greeted the citizens.

"Another hectic day in the world, Jerry," the news reporter starts, adjusting the mic so that the shouts and hoots from the crowd didn't overpower her voice. "And this is just New York City, Jerry. Cities around the world, from Shanghai to Moscow to Sydney to Rio de Janeiro, are experiencing the same thing. The world learned about this huge supers competition last week, but people are still raving about it. Most of the feedback seems to be positive and full of excitement. Jerry, the world has never heard about something as incredible as this opportunity." The clip ended, but another clip from London took over.
