"Alright," the bear carving said to the four Inklings on the boat, "I want you guys to super jump to that old ship over there, and then you can get your weapons and start working."
Leif pushed her glasses up and looked over the ocean at the ship. She was sure it would collapse under their weight due to its precarious perch and significant damage it had endured.
"I don't think this is a good idea, Mr. Grizz," she said while the other Inklings put their work clothes on. "That ship looks more rusty than my skills at splat rollers."
"Kid, it'll be fine," he replied. "You had training. That ship has been a working site for months now, and nobody has managed to tip that ship over. It's as solid as a clam shell."
Leif nodded, but still looked skeptical. The other Inklings; Clem, Saph, and Azu, were looking at each other and Leif.
They knew she had a point, but none of them really wanted to upset Mr. Grizz, if that was even possible.
"Leif, I'm pretty sure that ship is stuck in the mud," Saph finally said. "Besides, we need some extra cash to snag a splat roller for Azu."
"There has to be a better way, right?" She looked at Clem, who shrugged, and Azu, who looked down.
"If... if you don't, don't want to do this, we... we can go back to Inkopolis," Azu said, clutching her arm in one hand. "I'm kind of... kinda nervous, too. Those salmon bosses seem scary."
"No, I'm fine, I just..." Leif started, then shook her head. "I just got wet feet for a moment there. Gimme a second."
She put her work clothes over her everyday clothes. They were orange overalls with green rubber gloves and boots. A hat with the Grizzco logo and two instant specials completed the look.
"Alright, let's go," she said, and the four of them super jumped towards the top of the old rusty ship.
